   Sollen die Wagen entkuppelt werden, so wird die Welle   11 mittels des Handhebels   so weit nach aufwärts gedreht, dass der hinter die Leiste 10 des Querriegels 8 greifende Hebel 12 den Querriegel 8 aus dem Gehäuse 6 allmählich herauszieht, wobei die Feder 9 gespannt wird. Von der anderen Wagenseite aus geschieht das Lösen der zweiten Kupplung auf gleiche Weise. 



   Sollen zwei Wagen ohne oder nur mit einem geringen Stoss aneinandergeschoben werden, so wird vorher durch entsprechende Drehung der Welle 11 der Querriegel 8 aus seinem Gehäuse herausgezogen und in dieser Lage durch   die Nase 15   des Hebels 14 (Fig. 3) festgehalten. Der Haken 5 kann somit frei in das   Pumergeluiuso ss eintreten.   



  Sobald dies geschehen ist, wird die Welle 11 in der Weise   zurückgedreht,   dass der Sichelhebel 12 den Hebel 14 hochhebt. Der Querriegel 8 wird hiedurch freigegeben und tritt unter dem Drucke der Feder 9 in das Maul des Hakens 5 ein, so dass die Kupplung geschlossen ist. Auf dieselbe Weise erfolgt die Freigabe der Querriegel 8, wenn sie für weiteres selbsttätiges Kuppeln nach vorhergegangener Entkupplung wieder in die Kuppelstellung übergeführt werden sollen. 



   Die Verbindung eines Wagens mit neuer und eines solchen mit alter Kupplung ist ohne weiteres möglich. In diesem Falle kann die alte Kupplung als Sicherungskupplung verwendet werden. Der für den Arbeiter jetzt vorhandene Raum bleibt erhalten, da die selbsttätige Kupplung an den Seitenpuffern angeordnet ist.

PATENT-ANSPRUCH : Vorrichtung zum Entkuppeln mittels drehbarer und achsial verschiebbarer Querwelle, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass an dieser Querwelle ein in einer Schraubenfläche gekrümmter Hebel (12) befestigt ist, welcher je nach den seitlichen Grenzlagen der Querwelle bei deren Drehung entweder den Querriegel (8) herauszieht, um ihn für die Offenstellung durch Einschnappen einer an einem federnden Feststellhebel ! -) angeordneten Nase (15) vor einer am Riegel l (8) befestigten Leiste (10) festzuhalten oder durch Anheben des Feststellhebels (14) den Riegel (8) zum Kuppeln der Wagen wieder freigibt.
