<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
B. For this purpose, a boiler of the type mentioned is proposed in which, according to the invention, the removable part of the combustion chamber wall including the heat exchanger attached to it together with its pipe connections, which consists of a heating surface arranged between a collecting chamber and a distributor chamber, can be lifted outwards .
Two exemplary embodiments of the boiler according to the invention are shown in the drawings.
1 shows a vertical section through the boiler, FIG. 2 shows a vertical section through a second embodiment of the boiler, FIG. 3 shows a plan view of the heat exchanger according to FIG. 2 with guides and FIG. 4 shows the gas burner without fittings in a plan view.
EMI2.1
various fittings, control and safety devices connected to the gas line. It has burner nozzles arranged at a distance from one another and is mounted on a slide 11 that can be moved on the boiler floor.
EMI2.2
-3-- is located combustion chamber --1--, which is attached to the upper laterally bent edge of the side walls --34 - of the same by screws --35--. On the upper surface of the cover - 33 - the auxiliary equipment required for boiler operation can be arranged.
A pipe 37 that can be closed by a valve is provided at the lowest point of the distributor pipe 15 to enable the heat exchanger to be drained.
In the event that the heat exchanger is to be removed from the boiler for overhaul or replacement, it is sufficient to lift off the cover of the casing, whereupon the screws -35-are loosened and, after the heat exchanger has been emptied and the connections are opened, the cover -35, including the heat exchanger, is lifted out can be. If the auxiliary devices attached to the cover are too heavy to be lifted out with the cover, they can be removed for the time being. In order to stiffen the side walls of the heat exchanger, rails --19-- can be provided on this.
In a modification of the construction described, it is of course also possible to use the heat exchanger
EMI2.3
3, screws -20-- or friction-connected part --21-- of the same is fastened and with its distributor pipe --15-- and the collector --16-- sits on the rails --19--, which is similar to the previous embodiment are attached to the side walls of the combustion chamber and follow the heat exchanger from the front wall --9-- running obliquely downwards.
The connections of the distributor --15 - to the return and the collector - 16 - to the flow e.g. B. a water circulation heating is done via threaded nipples -22-, which lead through the side wall of the boiler and can be screwed into the corresponding threaded holes of the distributor --15 - and collector - 16. A thermostat --29-- and possibly also one

Temperature fluctuation exactly.
The gas burner --3-- can be inclined downwards, similar to the heat exchanger -14 - and is held by a burner plate -8 - which forms part of the boiler front wall -9-and is attached to a plate or several rails at the bottom - 10-- is welded on, which are arranged to be movable in the manner of a slide on the boiler floor 11. Below the burner 3 there is a radiation plate --12-- welded to the burner plate --8--, which shields the burner fittings from the flame radiation and possibly dripping condensate and also the fresh air flowing in from the back to the burner and, if necessary, to the fittings for cooling the same directs.
The burner plate-8- is detachably connected to the front wall - 9-- of the burner chamber --1-- with screws --13-- or friction bolts. A pilot flame --7-- (Fig. 3) directed towards a thermocouple --6-- ignites the burner nozzles. When the pilot flame goes out, the gas supply to the burner and to the pilot flame is interrupted by the thermocouple --6 -.

Smoke gases enter from below after flowing around them laterally. The collecting chamber 23 forms its own box, which can be inserted into the rear wall of the boiler and has connections on different sides so that the boiler can be set up independently of the arrangement of the chimney flue. The collecting chamber-23- is part of the draft breaker - -24--.
A door 27 is provided in the front wall 26 of the cladding 2, after the removal or opening of which the parts of the boiler to be dismantled are exposed and thus easily accessible. After removing the screws or opening the grater - 13 - and separating the burner --3-- from the gas line, the slide --10-- together with the burner and fittings can be easily extended out of the boiler. To dismantle the heat exchanger, the screws - removed and after separating the distributor --15 - and the collector - 16 - from the connecting pipes of the circulation heating system, the nipples --22 - are unscrewed from parts - 15 and 16 - whereupon the exchanger can be pulled out along the rails --19--.
The process of installing the individual units results inevitably from the description of the expansion.
A manually adjustable flap --41-- makes it possible to change the flow resistance of the flue gas paths by changing the cross-section above the flap so that the air intake corresponds to the respective burner output and thus the boiler output (due to the backflow effect) and thus depending on the burner output , the respective chimney draft and the composition or the air requirement of the gas to be burned, a good efficiency can always be set.
Another special feature of the boiler is that the same boiler parts can be used for the boiler with a chimney connection as well as for the boiler for an external wall connection. All you have to do is use a different rear wall and put a wall socket in place of the draft interrupter 23 and 24.
At most, it is also possible to change the height of the burner-heat exchanger distance, for example in order to be able to take into account particularly tall nozzles (e.g. natural gas nozzles) or, depending on the respective burner output and type of gas, set the most favorable combustion chamber load by changing the combustion chamber volume to be able to.
Furthermore, there is an improvement in the combustion by arranging so-called flame mirrors made of polished refractory sheet metal in front of the side walls of the combustion chamber. They reflect the flame radiation onto the heating surfaces and reduce heat losses through the side walls.
Of course, the heat exchanger can also be attached to one of the side walls or to the rear wall of the burner chamber.
