Es häuses -14 angp. flanscht, welcher den eigentlichen Arbeitsraum 18 der Pumpe sowie das Einlassventil 16 und das Auslassventil 17 enthält. In der gezeichneten Stellung schliesst das Einlassventil, und die Dickstoffe werden aus dem Arbeitsraum 18 bei geöffnetem Auslassventil 17 in Pfeilrichtung 22 in die Auslassleitungen 19 gefördert.
Beispielsweise im rechten Winkel zum Arbeitskolben 15 ist ein Ausweichkolben 20 angeordnet, der im Zylinder 3 hin-und hergleiten kann. Der Zylinder 3 des Ausweichkolbens 20 ist über eine Druckluftleitung 23 mit einem Kompressionsraum 24 verbunden. Der Kompressionsraum 24 ist mit einem Druckmesser 26 ausgestattet und steht mit einem Ventil 25 in Verbindung, das nach der Aussenluft hin öffnet. Durch den Kompressionsraum 24 lässt sich die Gegenkraft auf den Ausweichkolben 20 genau einregulieren. Die eingestellte Gegenkraft ist dann am Druckmesser 26 ablesbar. Die Gegenkraft wird grösser oder klei- ner, je nachdem, welche Luftmenge im Kompressionraum 24 sich befindet bzw. wieviel Luft durch Öffnen des Ventils 25 nach aussen abströmen kann.
Der Zylinderraum 28 ist mit einer Flüssigkeit gefüllt, welche den Druck des Arbeitskolbens 15 hydraulisch auf die Membran 27 und den Ausweichkolben 20 überträgt. Der Ausweichkolben 20 ist, wie schematisch angedeutet, mittels einer Stange 29 geführt.
