Kinematographische oder photographische Kamera mit
Objektivrevolver

<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
27 angezeigten Entfernungsskala 24 ablesbar.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Cinematographic or photographic camera with
Objective nosepiece
The invention relates to a cinematographic or photographic camera with a basic objective containing a distance setting device and objective attachments to be pivoted in front of this and arranged on an objective turret.
It is already known to provide an E-setting ring located coaxially to the turret head for the common distance setting of lenses arranged on the turret head of a cinematographic camera, when the entire turret head is actuated in the direction of the optical
EMI1.1
must be shifted axially. A device for determining the respective set depth of field is not provided here.
In other known cameras, lenses with different distance setting characteristics have been attached to the turret head and their distance setting members have been coupled to one another. The gradients of the lens thread used to adjust the distance had to be coordinated so that all lenses were always set to the same distance.
Such lens couplings were therefore complicated and increased the price of the camera. The depth of field was read off directly on the scales provided for this on the individual lenses.
Since a coupling of the diaphragm mechanisms of the individual turret lenses with a device for photoelectric exposure control is not possible on these known cameras or only with the interposition of complicated gears, it has been provided that the focal length change by connecting lens attachments in front of a basic lens built into the camera Basic lens is coupled to the exposure control device of the camera. Such cameras are equipped with an objective turret, in the turret plate of which objective attachments are firmly built. The basic lens used in the camera contains a device for setting the distance.
In some designs, the basic lens has a fixed focus notch, by means of which it is held in the fixed focus position when recordings are to be made using lens attachments. With the help of these cameras, no close-ups can be taken when using the lens attachments, which means that their possible uses are considerably restricted. The set depth of field cannot be read either.
A camera of this type is also known in which the distance of the basic objective is set by means of an adjusting ring arranged centrally to the optical axis of the basic objective relative to a distance scale corresponding to the respective objective combination, which is arranged on the objective carrier. Since with a wide-angle combination only a small lens extension is required for a desired distance setting from infinity to very close, with a tele combination with the same range of the distance setting a very large lens extension is required, the distance-
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
setting device, however, has only one thread pitch, a compromise is made between the distance setting range and the focal length of the lens in the two extreme cases.
In addition, the selected distance is not retained when the nosepiece is adjusted, but is reset manually. The depth of field can only be read off for the lens combination that is ready to take the picture, so that the amateur cannot compare the depth of field for all lens combinations for a certain distance and then select the lens attachment.
The present invention is based on the object of a kinematographic or photographic camera, the focal length of which is changed by connecting objective attachments attached to the nosepiece, to configure the distance setting on the basic objective so that an objective extension from infinity to very nal is possible even for the extreme objective focal lengths and the depth of field can be read simultaneously for all lens combinations.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the objective nosepiece consists of the objective head known per se, carrying the objective attachments, and a distance setting ring known per se, which is firmly connected to a cam ring which has control cams corresponding to the number of objective combinations and via this with a distance setting device the base lens actuating plunger is in connection.
An exemplary embodiment of the inventive concept is explained in more detail below with reference to drawings.
The figures show: FIG. 1 a camera with the objective turret according to the invention in section, FIG. 2 a part of the front view of the camera, FIG. 3 a side view of the camera with the objective turret.
A basic objective 2 is mounted in the housing 1 of a cinematographic camera so as to be axially displaceable. On the base lens 2, plungers 3 and 4 are fastened, which are supported against the housing 1 of the camera by means of a compression spring 5. These tappets 3 and 4 are guided in grooves 6 and 7 which are provided in the housing 1. The basic objective 2 contains an objective diaphragm operated by the exposure control device of the camera, which, like the associated control device, is embodied in a known manner and is not shown in detail here. In the housing 1 of the camera, a flange H is also screwed by means of fastening screws 8, and a lens head 11 is rotatably mounted on its pin-like extension 10 and is fastened by means of a retaining screw 12. The objective head 11 carries objective attachments 13, 14, 15.
A distance setting ring 18 provided with openings 17 for the lens beam paths is mounted on an attachment of the objective head 11, which is designed as a socket 16. The distance setting ring 18 is connected to a cam ring 20 by means of fastening screws 19 and can be swiveled by approximately 900 with respect to the objective head 11 (limit stop not shown). The cam ring 20 carries control cams 21 which axially displace the base lens 2 via the plunger 3, d. H. set to the desired distance and matched to the individual lens attachments 13, 14, 15.
A friction spring 22 supporting the cam ring 20 against the housing 1 connects the distance setting ring 18 to the objective head 11, so that the latter is carried along by friction when the focal length is changed and executes the same pivoting movement as the objective head 11. The distance setting ring 18 has grip grooves 23 and distance scales 24 on its periphery, which work together with indices 25 and diaphragm scales 26 attached to the periphery of the lens head 11 and allow both the set focusing distance and the depth of field to be read. The distance scales 24 are assigned to the focal lengths that result from the basic objective with upstream objective attachments.
A marking 27 attached to the housing 1 of the camera indicates which distance scale is valid for the respective lens attachment in the recording position.
To change the focal length, the lens head 11 must be swiveled until another lens attachment 13,
14 or 15 is in front of the basic lens 2 of the camera. As a result, that distance scale 24 of the distance setting ring 18 comes into the position identified by the marking 27, which corresponds to the now effective focal length formed by the objective attachment 13, 14 or 15 and the basic objective 2, which have come into the recording position. By pivoting the distance setting ring 18, it is now possible to set the basic objective 2 to the desired position on this distance scale 24 with the aid of the
Index 25 to set a readable distance by axially displacing the plunger 3 and thus the basic objective 2 via the control cams 21 of the cam ring 20.
After the size of the currently set aperture of the basic objective 2, indicated in a known manner in the camera viewfinder (not shown in detail), has been read off, the respective depth of field available for the recordings is then indicated with the aid of the aperture scale 26 of the objective head 11 the one straight from the marker
27 displayed distance scale 24 readable.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
By appropriate coordination and arrangement of the control cams 21 of the cam ring 20, it is possible to adjust the basic lens 2 when the lens head 11 is pivoted so that the original distance setting is retained despite the resulting change in focal length.
