Sicherheitswinde

Fig. 3 eine Einzelheit.

Safety winch
Cable winches are known in which the raised load remains in the respective position when the drive force on the winch ceases, so that, for. B. the drive crank can be withdrawn. With these winches, however, a frictional resistance has to be overcome when lifting and lowering the load, which means that additional effort is required. In addition, the force required to achieve the friction on the drive parts must be absorbed by the cover of the winch or by the screws provided for fastening it to the winch housing, which can damage these holding parts in the event of excessive loads.
Cable winches that are only equipped with a ratchet wheel and pawl require the pawl to be lifted out when lowering the load, which is often done without holding the crank, so that the pawl can no longer fall into the rapidly rotating ratchet wheel due to the falling load the load crashes because the rapidly rotating crank can no longer be detected.
For this reason, safety cranks have already been proposed which prevent the dangerous jolting of the

The safety lock release device is provided, one half of which is designed as a pressure disc and consists of a part that can be rotated loosely on the longitudinally displaceable crankshaft, is locked on one side and is provided with inclined control surfaces, while the other half on the crankshaft is provided with a brake cone and interacts with a fixed brake cone when the crankshaft is moved is fixed. The crankshaft carries a coupling half which is disengaged from the other coupling half carried by a gearwheel when the crankshaft is braked and the crank is therefore stationary.
In order to prevent the load from falling, the gearbox must be monitored by a special brake so that the load cannot be lowered with the crank itself. A safety winch has also been proposed for raising and lowering arc lamps hanging on masts, in which a corrugated pin provided with a screw thread is loosely rotatably mounted in the housing of the winch, on which the cable drum is rotatable and screwed onto the thread of the corrugated pin with a nut thread is.
The cable drum is pressed against an opposite surface of the winch housing under the action of a relatively strong spring with a conical braking surface. The crank that can be plugged onto the corrugated pin engages with a lateral approach through a circumferential recess in a collar of the corrugated pin in an end-face, circular-arc-shaped recess in the end face of the cable drum. This safety winch has the disadvantage that with the unavoidable wear and tear of the thread of the corrugated journal and the drum, the attachment of the crank has to be narrowed more and more in order to keep the winch functional, which of course has its limits, so that the winch can then be replaced necessary is.
The invention relates to a safety winch, in particular for lights hanging on masts and. Like .. with a provided between the cable drum and its drive shaft, the switching of a friction clutch between drive shaft and drum causing, helical contact surface and intended to avoid the disadvantages of the known winches of this type and to create a type that can be used indefinitely can and requires almost no supervision.
Essentially, the invention consists in the fact that the helical contact surface is provided on a pressure disk attached to the end face of the hub of the cable drum, which rests against a counter surface of a sleeve which preferably receives the crank pin of a plug-in crank and forms the drive shaft and between the end face of the sleeve and the rope drum has a loosely rotatable ratchet wheel on its hub with low axial

lem game is arranged.
A preferred design results when the sleeve has an enlargement in the area of the thrust washer and is assumed there except for two diametrically opposed connecting arms, the thrust washer insertable laterally into the recess and the rope drum by means of a screw fastened in the thread of the hub of the rope drum with the ratchet wheel and the sleeve connecting to form a structural unit, can be tightened. As a result of this design, the rope can be conveniently attached to the rope drum without it having to dismantle the components, as is the case with known designs. The invention also extends to structural configurations of the winch.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment.
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the safety winch, Fig. 2 shows a cross section along the line n-n in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 shows a detail.
The essentially cylindrical housing 1 of the winch has fastening tabs 3, 3 ′ on its base plate 2 for fastening to the mast. The hollow pivot pin 5 of the cable drum 6 is mounted in its bearing 4, the other pivot pin of which is designed as a hub 7 and bores through on its end face and has threads for a screw 8 and a claw-like projection 9. On the hub 7, a ratchet wheel 10 is loosely rotatable, to which a pawl 12 pivotable on the cover 11 of the housing is assigned, for which purpose the latter carries a pivot pin 13. The pawl 12 has two ratchet teeth that alternate with the teeth

10 Cover 11 is connected to housing 1 of the winch by screws 14. In the cover 11, a sleeve 15 is mounted coaxially to the cable drum 6, which has a hollow square 16 for a plug-in crank.
On the end face of the hub 7, a thrust washer 17 that fits on the claw-like projection 9 is placed, which is held in place by the screw 8 and the end face of which has a contact surface 18 which extends helically to the axis of rotation of the cable drum 6 and which is attached to a similar mating surface of the Cover 11 reaching end of the sleeve 16 rests. The sleeve 15 has an enlargement 19 in the area of the thrust washer 17 and is removed there except for two diametrically opposed connecting arms 20 so that the thrust washer 17 is inserted laterally into the interior of the enlargement 19 and, after the screw 8 has been tightened, to the hub 7 a structural unit can be connected, which comprises the cable drum 6 with the pressure disk 17, the ratchet wheel 10 and the sleeve 15.
To prevent the screw 8 from rotating, a lock nut 22 is screwed onto its end protruding into the cavity 21 of the hub 7 of the cable drum 6. The rope 23 runs over a roller pin 24 through a beak 25 in the housing 1 from the drum 6 and is held by a thickening 26 at its end lying in the cavity of the drum. Between the ratchet wheel 10 and the adjacent surfaces of the cable drum 6 or the end face of the sleeve 15, replaceable brake rings 27, preferably made of brass, with less axial play are provided, which parts together form a friction clutch.
When the rope 23 is wound up, the plug-in crank is inserted into the hollow square 16 with its pin designed as a square and rotated clockwise (FIG. 2). The contact surface 18 of the thrust washer 17 and the opposing surface on the sleeve 15, after a short mutual sliding movement caused by the aforementioned small axial play, cause the ring wedge forming a kind of ring wedge to move between the adjacent side surface of the ratchet wheel7 and the face of the thrust washer17 inner end of the sleeve presses the ratchet 7 via the intermediate brake rings 27 against the adjacent surface of the cable drum 6, whereby the friction clutch formed by the parts 6, 10, 15 and 27 becomes effective,
the cable drum 6 and the ratchet wheel 10 participate in the rotary movement of the crank and the cable 23 is wound onto the cable drum 6. The pawl performs an oscillating movement until the end of the rotary movement on the crank, in order to then fall into the ratchet wheel 10. If the crank is released or pulled off with the lamp raised, the weight of the lamp exerts a pull on the cable 23 in the sense of a rolling movement of the cable drum 6. Since the ratchet wheel is prevented from rotating back by the pawl 12, the pressure disc 17 is released

18 and the opposite face of the sleeve 15 exerts an axially directed pressure with its end face, which presses the end face of the sleeve 15 against the brake drum 6 via the brake ring 27, which is thereby secured against an unwinding movement of the cable 23.
When the plug-in crank is turned counterclockwise, however, the clamping effect between the contact surface 18 and the opposing surface is canceled, so that the cable 23 can be unwound from the cable drum 6 without any problems.
The safety winch according to the invention only requires as much force to operate as is necessary to raise and lower the weight of the lamp or the like, and to operate it does not require overcoming a frictional resistance associated with the expenditure of force on the crank. she is in
