<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
zeiten, z.
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

Photographic camera with focal plane shutter
The invention relates to a photographic camera with a focal plane shutter and consists essentially in the special arrangement, design and mode of operation of the engine, the shutter in conjunction with the device for setting and regulating the exposure time. In a further embodiment of the invention, devices are provided which, when a mirror reflex device is arranged and further when used

position, as well as the control of the spring diaphragm of the lens takes place automatically. The triggering of these switching processes can be influenced in terms of time by an additionally arranged feed mechanism.
In the previously known photographic cameras with focal plane shutter, the drive mechanism for film transport and the shutter as well as the device for setting and regulating the exposure time are arranged on one side of the photographic camera in the space above the take-up spool. With the limited space available, the various engines and devices must be stored inside and on top of each other. This not only makes the structure complicated and confusing, but this arrangement also requires a large overall height. In addition, this arrangement has the disadvantage that the actuation and setting of the various devices, such as.
B. the elevator for the shutter and the film transport, the setting elements for the exposure time and the counter device are obstructed and difficult to access. This is particularly true with such cameras. in which optical measuring and viewfinder systems or mirror reflex devices are arranged, as these devices restrict the space available at the side even more.
According to the invention, these disadvantages are avoided in that the arrangement of the drive mechanism for the shutter and film transport on one side of the camera, preferably in the area of the space above the film take-up spool, and locally separated therefrom, has the devices for setting and regulating the exposure time the other side of the camera, preferably in the area of the space above the film unwind reel. This design enables a clear and easily accessible arrangement of the shutter lift and the film transport on the one hand and the devices for setting and regulating the exposure time on the other hand, with a low overall height.
This training has the further advantage that the gears and their components can be built robustly, which has a favorable effect on the safety of the function and the production. This design also allows measuring, viewfinder and mirror reflex devices to be arranged with large image details. The connection between the shutter gear and the device for setting and regulating the exposure time is designed according to the invention by a control lever, which regulates the sequence of the shutter in connection with the device for achieving the different exposure times, so that it regulates at the same time due to its mass and inertia works.
This design achieves a constant effect and thus considerably reduces the spread of the exposure time compared to the set time values.
In a further embodiment of the invention, devices are provided which, when a mirror reflex device is arranged and furthermore when using an objective with a semi-automatic or fully automatic spring diaphragm, both the movement of the mirror into and out of the reflex position and the control of the spring diaphragm of the objective take place automatically. The release of the shutter and the aforementioned device can be by a
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
possibly additionally arranged upstream drive can be influenced in time.
According to the invention, the operation of the forward mechanism is such that after the triggering of the switching lever, which triggers the shutter, the mirror and the diaphragm, on the one hand releases the inhibitor, which regulates the duration of the triggering, to run, on the other hand it remains on for a long time its switching movement is prevented until the escapement releases the switching movement as it expires. Due to this design and mode of operation, in connection with the forward mechanism, reliable control of the triggering process is achieved both for short and long time intervals.
According to the invention, the entire engine of the camera, for. B. the gear for the shutter and the shutter lift, the film transport, the devices for setting and regulating the exposure time and possibly the reflex devices and the devices for triggering the diaphragm and the forward drive are arranged together on a common carrier, which with these devices in the camera housing used and with this by preferably detachable connections-z. B.
Screw-held can be. This training has the considerable advantage that both the assembly and the checking of the function of the entire engine of the camera can be carried out outside the camera housing, which also simplifies repairs at the same time.
In a further embodiment of the invention, a locking device is provided which causes the elevator of the common drive mechanism for shutter, film transport, mirror and shutter release on the one hand to be possible only after the shutter has expired, and on the other hand the elevator organ, which is preferably designed as a high-speed lever, after the engine has been lifted in the The starting position remains blocked until the next closure sequence.
According to the invention, the locking device consists essentially of a locking part connected to a switching lever, which protrudes with a locking surface into the pivoting range of the hand lever, which is preferably designed as a high-speed elevator, and releases and locks its elevator movement. This switching lever is controlled by and as a function of the lever that blocks and releases the sequence of the closure and is in turn actuated by the reflective mirror at the end of its movement. This ensures that the elevator of the drive unit is only possible after all functions have expired and then remains blocked until the next release and the subsequent cycle of the drive unit.
This mode of operation prevents it, because a trip must follow after every lift. the emergence of empty bodies and also the possibility of gear malfunctions that can occur due to a premature elevator movement if this is carried out before all functions have ended.
An embodiment of the invention, u. Between a photographic camera with a slot shutter and a reflex device is shown in the drawings.

According to FIGS. 1-18, the camera housing 1 and the carrier are designated with 2.
This carrier 2, which holds the entire drive mechanism for the shutter, film transport, the reflex device and the forward drive, is designed in such a way that it is inserted into the camera housing 1 together with these drives and devices and connected to them by releasable connections, e.g. B. by the screws 3 is held. In the camera housing 1, the reel space -1 for the take-up reel 5 and the reel space 6 for the supply reel 7 are also provided. A focal plane shutter operating with two curtains is preferred as the exposure shutter, the two curtains each being driven by rollers which are connected to the drive wheels 8 and 9 at the same time.
The illustration of the roles and curtains, the design of which is known per se, has been omitted in the exemplary embodiment.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Both the curtains and rollers and their drive wheels 8 and 9 are also supported by the carrier 2. The drive of the first curtain, which releases the exposure, takes place via the drive mechanism 8 through the locking wheel 10, which is loosely mounted around the drive shaft 11. The shutter wheel 10 has an annular recess 12 into which the driver pin 13 of the shutter wheel 14 engages, which drives the second curtain via the gear wheel 9, which covers the exposure. The locking wheel 14 is also loosely mounted around the drive shaft 11. The locking cam 15 is also connected to the locking wheel 10, with which the locking lever 17, which is mounted about the pivot point 16 and which is moved into the locking position by the spring 18, cooperates.
The locking lever 17 locks and releases the locking wheel 10 and thus the entire drive mechanism of the lock via the locking cam 15.
The closure is lifted by the lever 19, which is preferably designed as a high-speed lift, to which the ratchet wheel 21 and the gear wheel 22 are firmly connected by the shaft 20. The gear 22 is connected to the gear 23, to which the driver 24 is connected by the shaft 11. During the elevator movement, the driver 24, in that it hits the locking cam 15 of the expired locking wheel 10, takes it with it and moves the entire drive mechanism up to the locking position. During this movement, the ring-shaped recess 12 of the locking wheel 10, in that one end of this recess hits the driver pin 13 of the locking wheel 14, also moves this locking wheel and thus the second curtain into the blocking position via the drive wheel 9.
An interchangeable lock 25 works together with the ratchet wheel 21 in such a way that, during the movement of the elevator, it is only possible to move the quick-release lever 19 back until the locks have been fully opened.
The film transport is actuated at the same time with the high-speed winding lever 19. For this purpose the ratchet wheel is 21? also provided with an annular recess 26 into which a driver pin 27 of the
Gear 28 engages that loosely around the shaft
20 is stored. With this gear 28, the gears 29 and 30 are also in
Connection, whereby through the latter the
Gear 31 is driven. The same then takes through the friction clutch 32 the
Spool driver 33 of the take-up spool 5 with.
1, 2, 12 and 13 show that the described drive mechanism for the shutter and film transport is arranged in the area above the spool space 4. In contrast, the means for setting and regulating the exposure time are arranged on the other side of the camera housing 1 in the area above the coil space 6. The connection between these devices is made by the control lever 34, which is movably mounted about the pivot point 35 and with one bent end protrudes into the recess or interruption of the annular elevation 36 of the locking wheel 14.
With its other end, the control lever 34 engages by means of its pin 37 on the various elements of the escapement which are explained in more detail below and which have a delaying effect according to their respective setting and thus influence the sequence of the shutter wheel 14 and thus the exposure accordingly.
To achieve the long exposure times, e.g. B. in the range of 1 / "sec. To 1 sec., Is used from the gear segment 38 and the associated pinions 39,40, the escape wheel 41 and the escape wheel 42 existing escapement, each by the spring 43 in his The pin 45 is fastened to the gearwheel segment 38, which moves about the pivot point 44. The angle lever 47, which is movable about the pivot point 46 and which with its other arm moves through the pin 48 to the cam disk 49, rests on this which is firmly connected to the time setting button 51 by means of the shaft 50.
As a result of this design, by means of the time setting knob 51 through the cam 49 via the angle lever 47, the gear segment 38 of the escapement mechanism can be moved less or more or completely into and out of the pivoting range of the connecting lever 34 or its pin 37 and thus the sequence of the locking wheel 14 can be influenced accordingly .
To even shorter exposure times, e.g. B. in the range of; to'/ ; sec. can be reached through the anchor. 42 caused delay can be switched off so that

which is supported around the pivot point 53 and further carries a pin 54 which rests on the cam disk 55, which is also firmly connected to the time setting knob 51 by the shaft 50. With the appropriate setting, the armature 42 is in and out of the cam disk. Brought engagement with the escape wheel, wherein the spring 56 moves the lever 52 in the anchor engagement position

times, e.g.
B. in the range from 1/250 to 1/500 sec., When the previously explained inhibiting mechanism is switched off, the cam disk 57 also firmly connected to the time setting knob 51 by the shaft 50 is so effective that the double-armed short-term lever 58 hinged to it, the to the pivot point 59 is supported, is moved by the action of the spring 60 with its other arm in the pivoting range of the connecting lever 34 or its pin 37. With this as well as the other time settings, the connecting lever 34 acts as a regulator with its long-armed design and the resulting mass and inertia moments at the same time, with the advantage of a constant mode of action, so that the previously unavoidable spreads compared to the set time are significantly reduced.
With even shorter exposure times, e.g. B. 1/1000 sec., It is advisable to switch off all the inhibiting mechanisms at the same time the connecting lever 34 completely out of the drainage area of the locking mechanism 14 so that the same is ineffective in this setting. The two curtains then roll off without a delay when the slitting mechanism is triggered by the locking mechanism itself.
The following device is used for B setting: The setting disk 61, which is provided with a recess, is also connected to the time setting button 51 through the shaft 50. which cooperates with the angle lever 62, which is supported around the pivot point 63. With the angle lever 62, the locking member 64 is articulated on one arm, which has a locking hook 65 at its other end, which cooperates with a tab 66 provided on the connecting lever 34.
The release lever 67, which is mounted around the pivot point 68 and simultaneously moves the locking member 64 with its locking hook 65 out of the pivoting range of the tab 66 through the action of the spring 69, as shown in FIG. 6, is also linked to the locking hook 65. In the B position, the adjustment disk 61 is positioned with its recess in such a way that the angle lever 62 can collapse into it through the action of the spring 70. This movement is, however, initially prevented by the release lever 67, which is hinged to the locking hook 65 of the locking member 64, by its strong spring 69.
When triggering, which takes place in the direction of the arrow shown, the trigger lever 67 moves to the right, so that the locking member 64 linked to it can follow the action of the spring 70 through the angle lever 62 ... During this movement, the locking hook {'5 engages over the tab 66 of the connecting lever 34 and locks the same so that the closing wheel 14 and thus the second curtain are prevented from running off.
The release from this blocked position then takes place when the release lever 67 is moved back.
From the locking gear, the gear, consisting of the two bevel gears 71, 72 and the gear wheels 73 and 74 connected to this, which are also arranged on the carrier 2, is also driven by the gear 23. This gear drives the mirror reflex device and actuates the lens 75, which is preferably provided with a semiautomatic or fully automatic spring diaphragm. The mirror reflex device consists of the clamping lever 76, which is mounted around the pivot point 77 and is moved by the spring 78. This tensioning lever 76 is connected to one end of the lever with the release lever 67, which holds the tensioning lever 76 locked in the tensioned position by means of the catch 79, as shown in FIG.
On the other lever arm, the preferably adjustable pressure pin 80 is arranged on the tensioning lever 76 and acts against the pawl 81, which is mounted around the pivot point 82 and is moved into the locking position by the spring 83. In the blocking position, the pawl 81 engages around the likewise preferably adjustable bolt 84 of the mirror 85 in the reflective position of 450, which is pivoted about the pivot point 86 and is pivoted upwards by the spring 87 when it is released from this blocking position, as shown in FIG. 11 represents. The pin 88, by means of which the lever 90 mounted about the pivot 89 is actuated for the triggering of the diaphragm device of the objective 75, is also attached to the clamping lever 76.
A pressure bolt 91, which is also preferably adjustable, is arranged on the lever 90 and pushes against the switching pin 92 for triggering the spring shutter. The tab 93 is located on the side of the mirror 85 or its holder, as shown in particular in FIG. 9. When the mirror 85 is released from its reflective position, during this pivoting movement it hits the slope 94, which is a component of the locking lever 17 forms, and moves it out of the blocking position so that then the locking mechanism is released and can run.
The tensioning lever 76 is also connected with its other lever to a feed mechanism 95 which, according to the exemplary embodiment, is arranged on the bottom of the carrier 2. The feed mechanism 95 consists essentially of the winding lever 96, to whose bearing shaft 97 a crank disk 98 is firmly connected, the pin 99 of which actuates the slide 100 which is under the action of the spring 101. The slide 100 is through the two bolts 102 in the slots 103 one

Plate out and is designed with its angled part as a rack 104 through which the escapement, consisting of the drive wheels 105, 106, 107, the escape wheel 108 and the armature 109, receives its drive.
The forward drive 95 also has the multi-armed locking lever 110, which is mounted around the pivot point 111 and is moved into the locking position by the spring 112. The locking lever 110 is connected through its pin 113 to the two-armed lever 114 which is mounted around the pivot point 115 and with its other end blocks or releases the movement of the armature 109. In addition, the middle arm comes into the range of motion of the bracket 116 which is attached to the rack 104 and which thereby moves the locking lever 110 out of the locking position.
When the clamping lever 76 is released, its end first slides along the slope 117 of the locking lever 110 and thereby moves it so far that the lever 113 connected to it releases the armature 109. As a result, the inhibiting mechanism is activated by the action of the spring 101, but the locking lever 110 still holds the tensioning lever 76 with its locking nose. The release from this blocking position only takes place after the rack 104 with its tab 116 has pivoted the clamping lever 110 completely out of its blocking position in the course of the further sequence movement.
Moving the released clamping lever 76 back into its clamping position and also pivoting the released mirror 85 back into its reflex position takes place at the same time as the gear is lifted by the high-speed winding lever 19, the clamping lever 76 being driven by the driver pin 118 attached to the gear 73 and the mirror 85 by the am Gear 74 attached driver 119 is moved into the aforementioned positions. A counter that is driven by the gearwheel 120 can also be operated with the locking mechanism. The rays coming from the objective 75 are fed to the image field lens 121 via the mirror 85, and additional optical means can also be provided which allow the image to be viewed with the correct side and height.
In a further embodiment of the invention, a locking device is provided which ensures that the elevator of the common drive mechanism for shutter, film transport, mirror and shutter release can only be actuated when the shutter has expired and then remains locked until the next release. According to this locking device, a switching lever 122 works together with the locking lever 17, which is mounted around the pivot point 123 of the top cap 124 and rests against the locking lever 17 through the action of the spring 125. The switching lever 122 is firmly connected to the switching element 126, which has a tangential surface 127. The switching element 126 is mounted below the hollow rapid winding lever 19 in such a way that it lies in its pivoting range.
The high-speed winding lever 19 has a circumferential, downwardly drawn edge 128 which corresponds to its outer shape and which has a recess 129 in the area of the switching element 126. The same is arranged and designed in such a way that the high-speed winding lever 19 hits the same when it moves according to the position of the switching element 126 shown in FIG. 4, whereby the movement of the elevator is blocked or hindered. In contrast, the position of the switching element 126 shown in FIG. 5 permits unimpeded elevator movement.
The locking device works as follows:
When the closure is open, the individual parts of the device assume the position shown in FIGS. 1-4. The locking process is blocked by the locking lever 17. This has at the same time moved the adjacent switching lever 122 into such a position that its switching element 126 prevents movement of the high-speed elevator. In this position, the shutter gear and the film transport cannot be lifted, so that no empty images can arise. This inevitably means that a release must first take place before an elevator is possible. With this release, which takes place by actuating the release lever 67, its detent 79 releases the tensioning lever 76, which then releases the mirror 85 from its reflective position through the action of the spring 78.
During the pivoting movement through the tab 93, which abuts the incline 94 of the lever 17, this in turn moves it out of the blocking position, so that the lock can then run off. Simultaneously with this movement, the lever 17 pivots the switching lever 122 linked to it, the switching element of which is thereby moved into such a position that the elevator movement is then released and can be carried out. With this elevator movement, all functional elements are returned to their starting position.
The invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment, and its application is also possible with photographic cameras that do not have a reflex device or use lenses without a spring diaphragm. In such cameras, when the invention is used, there is no need to arrange the means for the reflex device and the triggering of the spring diaphragm. The release of the shutter
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
In this simplified embodiment, the release lever 67 can also be designed as a locking lever for the locking wheel 10, so that when it is actuated, the locking wheel 10 is released and the B setting is also controlled. This mode of operation can also be achieved in that the release lever 67 is coupled to the locking lever 17.
