Tong device for universal stripper cranes

be 15 hang on the side guides 17. The plunger 14, which is slidably guided in the guide sleeve 11, takes the guide sleeve 11 upwards with its attachment when the plunger 14 is drawn in, whereby the sleeve 12, which rests loosely with its attachment on the block tong carrier 9, also upwards through the attachment located on the outside of the guide sleeve 11 is taken. The distance between the guide sleeve 11 and the sleeve 12 lying loosely on the block tong carrier 9 can be kept at the normal prescribed level by inserting easily replaceable two-part rings 13 of different heights.
When the blocks are pressed out of the mold, the mold with its lugs on both sides is hung into the openings of the mold tongs 1, lifted by the lifting mechanism and the downwardly moving plunger 14 pushes the block out of the mold. The block tongs 7 always remain open during this operation.
When the blocks are pulled out of the mold, the mold tongs 1 are placed with their support part 2 on the upper edge of the mold and the upwardly moving plunger 14 takes with it the guide sleeve 11 and thus the sleeve 12 lying loosely on the block tong carrier 9. As a result, the upper part of the block tongs 7 with the rotatably mounted rollers is pressed outwards and the lower part of the block tongs 7 is pressed inwards, whereby the grain tips 8 located on the lower part of the block tongs 7 press into the block. After pressing in the grain tips 8, the block is pulled out of the mold. If the block pulled out of the mold by the block tongs 7 and now held by it is to be deposited, the pressure ram 14 must be lowered.
As a result, the upper part of the block tongs 7 with the rotatably mounted rollers is pressed inwards by the weight of the sleeve 12 and the lower part of the block tongs 7 with the grain tips 8 is pressed outwards until the shoulder of the sleeve 12 rests on the block tong carrier 9 and therefore the block pliers 7 is fully open again. The block tong carrier 9, which is also raised, rests on the rollers 6 arranged in the mold tongs 1 when the plunger 14 is further lowered.
The example shown can of course be modified structurally without departing from the scope of the invention.
