Description

Process for cleaning exhaust gases containing water vapor
The invention relates to a method for cleaning exhaust gases containing water vapor in order to combat the plague of smoke.

It has already been proposed to eject the dust particles while at the same time giving off heat to a coolant. This proposal presupposes a certain minimum size of the dust particles, because otherwise their mass would be too small for a centrifugal effect to occur.

In contrast, the invention can also be used when the exhaust gases contain dust particles that are so small that it was not possible to separate them with the previously known methods and devices. This is achieved in that the exhaust gases are fed to a supercooling system before they exit into the open air, in which the water vapor precipitates in the form of ice crystals, the suspended particles of the exhaust gases being enclosed by the ice crystals and / or carried along in their downflow. In those cases in which the exhaust gases do not contain enough water vapor or not at all, the required amount of water vapor is blown into the exhaust gases before they enter the supercooling system. Irrigation devices known per se can be used for this purpose.

If the exhaust gases contain poisonous substances, then one can add gaseous substances, which convert these poisonous substances into harmless compounds, if the water vapor is supplied.

The method according to the invention can be carried out with all devices suitable for this purpose.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A method for cleaning exhaust gases containing water vapor, characterized in that the exhaust gases, to which water vapor was supplied in the event of insufficient water content of their own, are fed to a supercooling system before they exit into the open air, in which the water vapor precipitates in the form of ice crystals, the suspended particles of the Exhaust gases are enclosed by the ice crystals and / or carried away in their downdraft.
