Elastische Kupplung.

Elastic coupling.
The invention relates to a device to drive another part, for example a gear wheel or a second shaft, by means of a driving shaft, belt pulley or the like, further movement of the driven part after the driving part has come to a standstill is enabled in such a way that the driven part still a fraction

to be led. The return of the driven part is achieved by a spring, which after the standstill of the driving part is tensioned by the moving, driven part and then turns it back again.
Such couplings are preferably used in those machines in which one or more complete revolutions are necessary to complete the action of the machine u; In order for this to occur with certainty, it is desirable that the machine move a little further after completing its operation and then return.
For example, in sole trimming machines, the sole is cut out by a knife guided in a closed path around a template. So that the knife does this too

The connection of the driving shaft a with the driven parts, in the present case a gear b loosely seated on the shaft a, is as follows. On the shaft a a sleeve d is attached, which BEZW with an approach. a driving claw dl is provided. This can come into contact with a claw-like approach bl of the gear wheel b. When the shaft a is rotated, the conical gear wheel b is carried along by the lugs b1, d1 which come into contact. If you now determine the shaft a in any way, so the loosely rotatable gear b can move independently of the shaft due to its living force by part of a revolution.
A spring f, which is connected at one end to the gear wheel b at b2 and at the other end to a ring e clamped onto the sleeve d, is tensioned by the rotation of the gear wheel d after the shaft a has stopped. As soon as the toothed wheel b has come to rest after its living force has been used up, the spring f moves the toothed wheel with the parts driven by it back into its original position in which the lugs bl and dl are in contact again.
By turning the ring e on the sleeve d, the tension of the spring f can be regulated as required, so that after a larger or smaller movement it comes to a standstill and to the
