   Österreichische PATENTSCHRIFT Nrk 17515.

  CHRISTIAN SÖRENSEN IN SLAGELSE (DÄNEMARK).

   Method for soldering aluminum.

The present invention relates to a method for brazing aluminum which enables aluminum to be brazed together with both aluminum and other metals.

   The procedure is as follows:
After the aluminum has been cleaned with hydrochloric acid, it is coated with potassium chloride and then heated with a lower heat of approx. 6000 C and an upper heat of approx. 9000 C, whereby the potassium chlorine melts together with the aluminum and thus becomes even at the point to be soldered Binding layer is created. After cooling, this binding layer is covered with pure tin and then the metal in question is soldered onto the latter at a heat of around 3280 C.

Compared to the known use of haloid salts of tin, this method offers the advantage that the reduction of the tin salt to metallic tin, which is necessary during soldering, is dispensed with, which is important for flawless soldering as the aforementioned reduction in the primitive process of soldering does not match that Equality can be performed to achieve a completely homogeneous solder layer and, consequently, a complete soldering.
