Die Zeichnung zeigt eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Gegenstandes der Erfindung, u. zw. stellt die Fig. 1 eine Draufsicht auf eine Dachziegelplatte und die Fig. 2 eine Untersicht dar, während die Fig. 3 eine etwas geänderte Ausführung veranschaulicht. Die Fig. 4 zeigt eine Dachdeckung von oben im Schema mit Dachziegeln nach den Fig. 1 und 2.
Der Dachziegel 1 ist eine flache rautenförmige Platte, die an der Oberseite zwei Leisten 2 und 3 in Keilform und an der Unterseite, jedoch spiegelbildlich dazu, ebenfalls zwei solche Randleisten 4 und 5 besitzt. An der Unterseite ist nun die Seitenleiste 4 mit einem Einschnitt 6 versehen, zum Zweck, bei sonst glatten Begrenzungslinien den Durchtritt der Leiste 3 des Nachbarziegels zu ermöglichen, wie schematisch aus der Fig. 4 hervorgeht. Während nun beispielsweise die beiden Seitenleisten 4 und 5 nach Fig. 4 aneinander zu liegen kommen, kann zum Zwecke der Einhaltung eines Spaltes oder Abstandes derselben voneinander nach Fig. 3 der Ausschnitt in der Leiste 4 etwas von der Leiste 5 abgerückt sein, wie bei 8 angedeutet ist. Bei 9 sind die Leisten 5 etwa im Ausmass einer Leistenbreite und darüber verkürzt.
