I-I bzw. im Längsschnitt.

Auxiliary device for blueprint machines
With the known blueprint devices for daylight, the exposure process is observed on the blueprint, for which a corner of the same has to be exposed and then pressed back onto its base. This cumbersome process requires a relatively long time during which the exposure has to be interrupted, and there is also the risk that the blueprint will be shifted and thereby become unusable. When inserting the items to be traced, care must also be taken to ensure that they are correctly positioned.
According to the present invention, to avoid these disadvantages, a method known in phototechnology for other purposes is used, according to which a comparison exposure of a control strip is carried out through a movable window in which a comparison negative or a filter is mounted. The auxiliary device forming the subject of the present invention is used for this purpose, which is connected to the blueprint apparatus in such a way that its control field is under the same exposure conditions as the exposure area of the apparatus.
Figs. 1 and 2 show an embodiment of this auxiliary device in cross section along the line
I-I or in longitudinal section.
A displaceable plate 2, which is made from the material of the transparent cover of the apparatus, is arranged above the lower part 1, which is permanently or detachably connected to the apparatus.
The surface of the lower part is curved like the exposure surface of the apparatus and has approximately the same central angle as this.
The narrow sides of the plate are bordered by the cover strip 3 and the side strips 4, which form a slide with the cross piece 5 connecting the latter, which slides with the plate 2 on the curved surface of the lower part 1 and with the side strips 4 on its side surfaces.
The spring 6 attached to the crosspiece 5 presses the plate 2 onto the curvature of the lower part 1, from which it can be lifted slightly by lifting the slide in order to be able to insert the strip 7 and the control strip 8 corresponding to the drawing between them. The strip 7 is cut from the material of the drawing to be paused or another with the same or slightly lower light transmission. Its ends protrude slightly beyond the free edges of the plate 2 and are bent sharply around them, whereby it is held on the slide.
The control strip 8 pushed into the auxiliary device before the break is sufficient for several exposures, it is held on the base 1 by the rubber bands 9 and 10, which are firmly connected at one end to the lower part and releasably connected to the other. The reserve part of the control strip is closed light-tight by the cover 11, but it can also be rolled up and accommodated in a light-tight recess in the lower part.
The strip 7 leaves a part of the plate 2 free, as a result of which a comparison field which bleaches out more rapidly and which shows the degree of exposure achieved in each case is created below it in the control field. In order to get a completely pure background on the blueprints, the exposure has to be a bit beyond its achieved
Fading will continue. In order not to have to estimate this additional exposure as before, the small plate 2 is provided with a thin
Provided a matt layer, as a result of which the comparison exposure is delayed by this additional exposure.
Some drawings, especially pencil drawings, must not be exposed until the background is completely bleached.
In order to be able to maintain the correct degree of exposure there, too, some lines corresponding to the drawing are applied to the strip 7 and the exposure is now carried out until these can still be clearly recognized in the control field. But for this it is necessary that after each
Control of the strip 7 is brought back exactly to its normal position and is held in this position
Elastic bands 12.
Before starting a new exposure, the
Control strip pulled out of its container by the width of plate 2.
With this auxiliary device, the exposure control is significantly simplified and shortened, whereby the exposure does not have to be interrupted. The correct exposure time can thus be adhered to effortlessly and a uniform pause result is achieved.
