   Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Verbesserung an Waschbrettern aus Holz, welche den Zweck hat, die hölzerne   Reib-oder Waschfäche   gegen die Einwirkung des heissen Waschwassers, der Lauge und der sonstigen Waschmaterialien widerstandsfähiger zu machen und dabei zugleich eine glatte, das Waschen fördernde Oberfläche zu schaffen. 



   Die als Wasch- oder Reibfläche in Verwendung kommenden, gerieften Brettchen, Leisten oder   Rundstäbo ans hartem Holze werden   in einem Ofen längere Zeit einem Feuer

Dies allein würde aber zu   Waschzwecken   nicht genügen, da hiebei auch eine glatte und glänzende Ober-bezw. Reibfläche verlangt wird. Es ist also erst durch die Wahrnehmung dieser zweifachen Eigenschaft des gebrannten   Holzes, nämlich   einen besonderen Grad von Widerstandsfähigkeit und zugleich eine glatte
