Lattice work made of reinforced concrete
A lattice structure consisting of iron and concrete is known with the feature that at least its girders are iron pipes filled with concrete. To connect the struts to the walings, radial sheet metal tabs can be welded at nodes, which generally run in the direction of a surface line of the iron pipe. Since the nodal points are often very heavily stressed by the forces acting on the latticework, this stress is transferred both to the weld seam between the sheet metal tab and pipe and to the iron wall of the chordal pipe itself. As a result, the weld seam could tear or the welded one Sheet metal tabs and / or the girder bar itself, and indeed the entire lattice girder, are deformed.
In order to prevent this and to reduce the stress on the connection or junction point, according to the invention, the ends of the sheet metal tabs are stiffened by flanges that are arranged perpendicular to them and welded to them and to the chord tube.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown, u. between the junction of a lattice mast in side view (Fig. 1) and cross section (Fig. 2). The corner pillar is a steel pipe n filled with concrete o. At the junction for connecting the two struts p, which are also filled with concrete, the gusset plate tabs t are welded to the pipe n parallel to its axis, the ends of which with the flanges w welded to this perpendicular to the pipe axis are also connected by welds.
The flanges do not extend around the entire circumference of the pipe, but, because the nodes are offset by 900 in relation to one another in the plan, by just under three quarters of the pipe circumference. The width of the flanges can decrease towards their ends. Two struts p, diverging by 600, are screwed to the sheet metal tabs t and encompass the sheet metal tabs like a fork with double tabs r. In this case, the flanges w are expediently made narrower than the radial projection of the gusset plates is t. The ends of the gusset tabs t could also, as indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 1, penetrate or cross through the flanges w.
In elevation, the flanges w form a U-shape with the section of the pipe n lying between them, into which the sheet-metal tabs t are welded on three sides. In this way, the strength of the nodes compared to the flangeless embodiment is significantly increased.
