winding of the transformer 8 is connected to the anode of the tube 1, the other end to the anode of the tube 2. The output circuits 7 and 8 are coupled to the inductances 5 and 6 of the individual tuning circuits of the tubes 1 and 2. A pair of electrodes is connected to each of these output circuits. It can be seen that the tubes 1 and 2 oscillate during different half-waves of the current feeding the anodes and that the tube 1 never generates an oscillation while the tube 2 oscillates and vice versa.
If the corresponding electrode pairs with the circuits 7 and 8, as shown in Fig. 2, are switched, then the average value of the electromagnetic field in the area Q will be significantly greater than at any point near the surface of the body. Generators with two tubes operated in push-pull are known per se. So far, however, they have only been used to excite a single output circuit. According to the present invention, however, they should act on separate output circuits, so that high-frequency oscillations are generated in these alternately.
The apparatus shown in the figure has significant practical possibilities as it can be adapted to a wide variety of uses. Corresponding switches can easily be attached so that only one of the two or both oscillators can be used and furthermore that the output power of the two tubes can either be led to separate output circuits, as shown, or in parallel to a single output circuit. Assuming that the output power of each oscillator is 300 watts, the following options are available: the apparatus can be used with only one oscillator if only 300 watts of power is required.
Furthermore with two oscillators, which deliver their output power to two separate output circuits for the simultaneous treatment of two bodies with 300 watts each. Finally, for treating a single body with a concentrated power of 600 watts at any desired location inside the body, and the like. with the help of two separate pairs of electrodes, with the electromagnetic fields being crossed. The two oscillators can finally work in parallel in a single output circuit, which then delivers an output power of 600 watts. This can be beneficial with certain treatments, e.g. B. in the excitation of an artificial fever in a patient.
The present invention can be used for diathermy of human or animal bodies, also for the treatment of other bodies, for example for the destruction of insects and bacteria, and the like. between different types of application.
