Röhrengeneratoren für industrielle und medizinische Zwecke werden vielfach in Schaltungen betrieben, bei denen eine nicht gleichgerichtete Wechselspannung unmittelbar als Anodenspannung verwendet wird. Dabei ist eine möglichst gute Ausnutzung des Anodenspannungstransformators und der einzelnen Röhren anzustreben. Die bekannten Schaltungen zum Betrieb von Röhrengeneratoreu mit Wechselspannung tragen zum Teil diesem Gesichtspunkt nicht Rechnung, indem sie die Sekundärwicklung des Transformators bzw. Teile davon nur für eine Halbwelle ausnutzen. Andere Schaltungen, die den genannten Gesichtspunkt berücksichtigen, beschränken sich auf die Benutzung zweier Röhren, und das zugrunde liegende Schaltungsprinzip ist bei Mehrphasenbetrieb nicht anwendbar.
