Process for producing a tube with several grids, the wires of which are skewed to each other.
In the case of tubes with several grids, in particular with screen and control grids, it has proven to be advantageous to arrange the wires of the cooperating grids in such a way that they are skewed to one another, i.e. their projections do not coincide but intersect at a certain angle. This creates an uneven load on the one
Lattice by the impinging electron stream and local heating of the grid wires, which
Gas leakage from the wires and thermal grid emission as well as mechanical damage to the
Grid as a result, avoided.
The invention has a method for the subject, according to which grids for tubes of the type mentioned can be produced without special technical effort, u. betw. so that the wires of the control grid and the screen grid only slightly overlap. The method is particularly suitable for grids with flat or prismatic surfaces, but it can also be used analogously for cylindrical grids with helical or, in particular, ring-shaped grid wires. According to the invention, the grids are originally produced as similar or geometrically similar structures, then the desired crossed position of the grid wires is achieved by parallel displacement of the grid struts against each other and the grid parts are then mounted.
The idea of the invention can be implemented in various ways, as can be seen from the figures of the drawing.
The method according to the invention for a ladder grid is illustrated in FIGS. 1-4.
The basic manufacturing process is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. On the ladder grid according to Fig. 1, which consists of two or more parallel struts 1 and with these preferably connected by welding bars or wires 2, the individual grids are cut out and during installation by a mutual parallel displacement of the struts of one or both grid elements in the brought together the desired position.
In Fig. 2 it can be seen which position the bars have before installation and after installation. The bars of the rear lattice are moved from the position shown in dashed lines into the position shown in full by parallel displacement of the struts 1 in the direction of the arrows, so that the bars of the two grids intersect. The same thing, only in the opposite direction, can also be done with the front grille. In order to save building material, one can proceed in the manner illustrated by FIGS. 3 and 4. The ladder grid is advantageously made continuously, individual lengths are cut obliquely to the struts and the struts are displaced in the manner indicated by the arrows so that the end points of the struts 1 come to lie in a line perpendicular to the struts.
Then one of the two grids is brought into a mirror-inverted position with respect to the other, as is known per se, so that the grid wires or bars then assume the position shown in FIG.
In the case of prismatic lattice surfaces, the crossing of the lattice wires can be achieved by moving two struts diagonally opposite one another parallel to one another, for example in one of the two grids or also in both of the two diagonally opposite struts - that is to say in FIGS Struts 6 and 7. The bars then assume the position shown in FIG.
The procedure is similar for grids with circular or oval grid wires, as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9.

In Fig. 8 the basic shape of such grids is shown. Fig. 9 shows two such grids, in which by parallel displacement of the struts 8 and 9 a crossing of the grid wires has been brought about. This method can also be used for helically wound grids. Even with prismatic and cylindrical grids, similar to the grids according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the desired mutual position of one of the two grids can be obtained from a continuously manufactured body by inclined cutting, parallel shifting of the struts and, as is known, the wrong insertion of one of the two grids Achieve wires. In the case of helically wound grids, this saves winding machines that allow right-hand and left-hand threads to be wound. This simplifies the production of such grids.
