<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Der Zeiger 19 streicht bei dieser Ausführungsform über das Diapositiv, und sein Bild wird auch auf den Schirm 99 geworfen ;

EMI1.1
In the case of the station indicators for radio receivers, in which a mark controlled by the setting means indicates the tuned station on a prepared (pre-calibrated) once and for all
Makes station name directory identifiable, the station directory or its projection image was previously visible in a window of the receiver housing.
Given the steadily growing number of broadcasting stations, which is already over a hundred or will be in the near future, and the limitation in the size of the housing required for economic reasons, this leads to spatial difficulties; because only the housing surface facing the user comes into consideration for the scale window, and since the operating handles and the speaker opening must be accommodated on this, only a limited space remains for the scale window. Squeezing all station names together on a small window area, however, affects the legibility of the station names and the sharpness of setting.
The well-known measure of arranging the station directory on a tape or a drum and only having the name of a station or a few stations appear directly or in the projection image in the window allows the font to be made legible, but prevents the overview and makes it difficult thereby adjusting. Another drawback of the previous arrangement is that there is no surface on the housing on which the scales are equally visible to the user when sitting or standing.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate these inconveniences and to create a station indicator, the reading area of which shows a practically unlimited number of station names in legible letter size at the same time and easily visible when sitting and standing, without requiring the housing to be enlarged beyond the usual size.
According to the invention, a reading board that provides space for all the required station names in sufficient letter size at the same time is on the outside of the receiver housing, which can have a cuboid shape, expediently on the top, for example in the manner of a music stand, at a suitable angle to the Housing wall arranged. The reading board can be fixedly attached, which results in a gable-like shape when arranged at an angle; however, it is preferably made adjustable, and it is expediently arranged so that, when not in use, it can be placed against one of the housing walls or inserted into a section of a housing wall.
The station directory can be made visible on the reading board either in permanent marking, for example in print, or as an optical image mirror image or projection image of a permanent station directory. A lamp fed from the electrical circuit of the receiver can be used for lighting or projection. During the projection, the slide of the station directory, the optics and the lamp can be accommodated in the housing close to the tuning means, which results in a short and simple transmission of force for a pointer playing over the slide, and the cone of rays can be seen through an optionally glazed window in the housing, if necessary fall onto the reading table, deflected by a mirror.
In the case of a mirror-image representation, the reading surface consists of a mirror facing the housing, and a mirror-image station directory or the projection image of such is arranged in a window of the housing wall facing the mirror.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The pointer can either be used as a light or shadow mark or as a physical pointer over the
Play reading surface or as a mirror image or projection image of one over another surface, e.g. B. appear above the slide, playing physical pointer on the reading surface. He can come from one
Wire, a light screen with a gap, a line on a transparent surface or the like. There is a parallel shift or a rotary movement.
If a physical pointer plays over a pivotable reading surface, the pointer drive is set up according to the invention in such a way that the pointer position remains unaffected by the pivoting. It is z. B. used a Bowden cable or the gear through the pivot axis of the reading surface .. Otherwise, the pointer drive can be any.
A swiveling reading board can be connected to switch contacts so that the receiver is only switched on when the reading board is in the use position.
The figures show embodiments of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows in cross section a radio receiver with printed on the reading board
Station directory and along these playing physical pointers.
Fig. 2 shows the same receiver viewed from the front after removing the front wall.
3 shows a cross section through a radio receiver with a projected scale and a projected pointer.
4 shows a cross section through a radio receiver with mirror reading of the station directory.
1 is the parallelepipedic (cuboid) housing of a radio receiver, 2 its front wall, 3 its cover plate, 33 its rear wall. 4 is the axis provided with the tuning button 5 for actuating the tuning means housed in the box 44, in particular the rotary capacitors. A rectangular opening 6 is cut out of the cover plate and extends from the rear edge to close to the front edge and extends to both sides over almost the entire width of the cover plate.
The reading board 7 is attached in this opening. It consists of a square frame 8 in which a disc 9 made of transparent material is inserted, and is mounted near its lower edge near the front edge of the opening 6 in hollow pins 10, 110 on the cover plate so that its pivot axis is the front edge of the receiver housing is parallel. The board, the size of which is adapted to the opening 6, can therefore be swiveled into the opening as desired, or it can be adjusted by means of the support 20 in the inclined position shown in the figure or in another incline that is convenient for reading while sitting or standing .
In the middle of the (in the inclined position) upper frame leg 11, a loose line roller 12 is attached below the disc 9, and on both sides of the center of the lower frame leg 13 two similar loose line rollers 14 and IM are arranged in the same plane. In addition to the opening 6, corresponding pulleys 15 and 115, rotatable about pins 16 and 116, are attached to the front wall with their plane parallel to this. Finally, a cord pulley 17 is firmly attached to the axis 4 within the housing in the plane of the rollers, HJ.
An endless cord 18, which is guided through the hollow pegs 10 and 110, is laid around all rollers together, and the arrangement is made such that the cord beat 118 between the rollers 12 and 14 runs at right angles to the pivot axis of the panel and parallel to its plane, while those between roles 14 and j! J or the rollers 114 and 115 extending cords 218 and 318 coincide with the axis of rotation of the table. A pointer 19 is attached to the guide line 118, which extends parallel to the pivot axis on both sides and lies with its tip or one of its longitudinal edges close to the underside of the disk 9.
It can be seen that each position of the tuning knob corresponds to this. H. For each wavelength to which the apparatus is tuned, a certain position of the pointer 19 on the disk 9, and because the cords 218 and 318 lie in the pivot axis, this position does not change when the panel 7 is pivoted.
The names of the stations are permanently marked on the disk 9 parallel to the pivot axis so that they can be read from the front, and of course in such a distribution that the pointer points to the name of the station being tuned in.
The scale illumination lamp 21 is attached to the support 20 and is connected to the power source of the radio receiver by movable lines 22.
The embodiment of the receiver according to FIG. 3 differs from that according to FIGS. 1 and 2 in that the reading board has neither a pointer nor a string nor a dial lamp and that the disc 9 is replaced by a translucent projection screen 99. In the rear part of the housing in the center plane of the same, a frame 23 is attached, which carries a slide 24 representing the station directory approximately in a plane parallel to the reading position of the board, as well as the lamp 21 and the optical means indicated here by the lens 26 through which An image of the station directory is thrown onto the screen 99 through a window 106 in the cover plate which is sufficient for the passage of the beam and which can have glazing 30.
In this embodiment, the pointer 19 passes over the slide and its image is also projected onto the screen 99;
