Die Erfindung stellt sich die Aufgabe, den Glanz von Schuhwerk zu erhöhen, und erreicht den angestrebten Zweck im wesentlichen dadurch, dass das in üblicher Weise mit Schuhwichs und Bürste vorbearbeitete Schuhwerk mit einem Körper nachpoliert wird, der hiebei Spuren von Terpentin an die das Schuhleder bedeckende Schuhwichsschichte abgibt. Hiezu eignet sieh am besten ein Kissen aus Samt od. dgl. Stoff, das mit Terpentin imprägniert ist. Die Imprägnierung geschieht in irgendeiner geeigneten Weise, z. B. dadurch, dass auf das Kissen Terpentin aufgespritzt und dann trocknen gelassen wird.
Der Erfindung gemäss wird das vorher mit Schuhwichs und Bürste in an sich bekannter Weise bearbeitete Schuhwerk mit dem erwähnten Kissen nachpoliert, wobei aus dem letzteren Spuren von Terpentin zu der das Schuhleder bedeckenden Schuhwichsschichte gelangen. Hiedurch wird dem Schuhwerk nicht nur ein erhöhter Glanz verliehen, sondern es wird auch dessen Dauerhaftigkeit gesteigert.
Wenn nach langer Benutzungsdauer des Polierkissens das in diesem enthaltene Terpentin aufgebraucht ist, kann letzteres durch neuerliche Imprägnierung des Kissens leicht ersetzt werden.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Verfahren zur Erhöhung des Glanzes von Schuhwerk, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das in üblicher Weise mit Schuhwichs und Bürste vorbearbeitete Sehuhwerk mit einem Körper nachpoliert wird, der hiebei Spuren von Terpentin an die das Schuhleder bedeckende Schuhwichsschichte abgibt.
