Der Gegenstand der Erfindung bezieht sich auf jene Arten eines Kantenschutzes für Skier, bei welchen die Lamellen an. ihrem vorderen Ende von dem rückwärtigen Ende der anschliessenden Lamelle überlappt werden. Gemäss der Erfindung ist dieser Kantensehutz derart ausgebildet, dass bis auf die die doppelte Dicke der Lamellen aufweisenden fberlappungsstellen der Kantenschutz in einfacher Lamellendicke durchläuft, wobei beide im Querschnitt ungesehwächten Lamellenenden durch eine gemeinsame Schraube am Ski befestigt sind.
Hiedurch wird der Vorteil erreicht, dass der Kantenschutz bei Aufrechterhaltung seiner Ansehmiegungsfähigkeit an das Skiholz bei Durchbiegungen an den Befestigungsstellen ungeschwächt bleibt und daher eine sehr widerstandsfähige Befestigung aufweist.
In der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform eines Kantenschutzes gemäss der Erfindung zur Darstellung gebracht und zeigt Fig. 1 diese Ausführungsform in einem Längsschnitt. Die Fig. 2 und 3 zeigen schaubildlich die einander zugekehrten Enden zweier Lamellen, während Fig. 4 ein TeilstÜck eines Skis mit erfindungsgemässem Kantenschutz veranschaulicht.
Wie das dargestellte Ausführungsbeispiel zeigt, ist die Lamelle 1 an ihrem in der Fahrtrichtung vorderen Ende abgekröpft. wobei der abgekröpfte Lappen S der Lamelle 1 von dem in der Fahrtrichtung rückwärtigen Ende der Lamelle überlappt wird. Beide Lamellenenden werden durch eine gemeinschaftliche Schraube 4 am Skibrett 5 befestigt, so dass, wie die Zeichnung zeigt, alle Befestigungsschrauben in gleicher Entfernung voneinander angeordnet werden können. Wie die Fig. 2 und 3 zeigen, können die Löcher 6,7 als Langlöcher ausgebildet sein, um bei Durchbiegung des Skies eine Lockerung der Schraube zu vermeiden.
Die Überlappungsstellen der beiden Seitenkantenbeschläge des Skis werden vorteilhafterweise, wie Fig. 4 zeigt, versetzt zueinander angeordnet.

Edge protection for skis.
The object of the invention relates to those types of edge protection for skis in which the sipes on. their front end are overlapped by the rear end of the adjoining lamella. According to the invention, this edge protector is designed in such a way that the edge protector runs through in a single slat thickness except for the overlapping points that are twice the thickness of the slats, with both slat ends that are unsighted in cross section being attached to the ski by a common screw.
This has the advantage that the edge protection, while maintaining its ability to be attached to the ski wood, remains undiminished when it bends at the fastening points and therefore has a very resistant fastening.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of an edge protection according to the invention is shown and FIG. 1 shows this embodiment in a longitudinal section. 2 and 3 show diagrammatically the mutually facing ends of two lamellas, while FIG. 4 illustrates a part of a ski with edge protection according to the invention.
As the illustrated embodiment shows, the lamella 1 is bent at its front end in the direction of travel. the cranked flap S of the slat 1 being overlapped by the end of the slat at the rear in the direction of travel. Both ends of the lamellas are fastened to the ski board 5 by a common screw 4, so that, as the drawing shows, all fastening screws can be arranged at the same distance from one another. As FIGS. 2 and 3 show, the holes 6, 7 can be designed as elongated holes in order to prevent the screw from loosening when the ski is bent.
The points of overlap of the two side edge fittings of the ski are advantageously arranged offset from one another, as FIG. 4 shows.
