Folding photographic camera with lens shutter.
The object of the invention relates to a folding photographic camera with a lens shutter, in which a basic range finder is coupled to the lens focus, i.e. H. the movement of the lens is transmitted to the movable optical element of the range finder which deflects the measuring beam. In the previously known cameras, the rangefinder is driven by an axially adjustable screw thread connector or by the slidably mounted lens carrier (standard) with the intermediation of a transmission device, which consists of several interacting members such as levers, pins and the like. The like. exists and, as a result of the multi-part design, not only increases the price of the cameras, but also, what is even more serious, impairs the measuring accuracy of the range finder.
The present invention is based on the object of creating a folding photographic camera with a lens shutter in which the stated disadvantages are eliminated in a simple manner.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the movable optical deflection element (e.g.
Swivel mirror, swivel prism or the like) of the rangefinder arranged in the lens carrier directly actuating control lever lies in the path of movement of the front lens mount of the lens.
In order to be able to easily take pictures in portrait and landscape format with this arrangement of the rangefinder, according to a further embodiment of the invention, the rangefinder comprises the lens mount and is arranged pivotably about the optical axis.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of folding cameras according to the invention are shown. Figs. 1 and 2 show an embodiment, u. Between Fig. 1 shows the camera in a front view and Fig. 2 in a partially sectioned side view. 3 and 4 illustrate a second embodiment in plan view and side view.
1 is the basic range finder which is arranged on the lens mount of the folding camera 3. 2 is the lens shutter and 4 is the front lens mount of the lens, which is mounted in the lens shutter in an axially adjustable manner by means of the tendon thread 5. The range finder 1 lies to the side of the front lens mount; it is provided with two optical deflectors 18, 20, e.g. B. mirrors or prisms, of which one deflector 20 is fixed and the second deflector 18 is movably arranged. In the exemplary embodiments shown, the latter is mounted pivotably about an axis 17 and is actuated directly by a control lever 16 which, according to the invention, lies in the path of movement of the front lens mount 4.
In the illustrated embodiments, the control lever acts. M with the rear edge surface 19 of the front lens mount 4 together.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the range finder is fastened on the plate 7 of a ring 6 which surrounds the lens mount and can be rotated about the optical axis of the lens. The ring 6 has a recess 8 into which a pin 9 attached to the lock housing engages so that when the ring 6 and thus the range finder 1 are rotated by 90, the ends of the recess 8 on the pin 9 will stop.
This makes it possible to pivot the range finder 1 both in portrait and in transverse shots so that the look-in opening 10 always comes to rest upwards.
This also has the advantage that the range finder can be swiveled into a specific position in which the camera can be closed without the range finder having to be removed. A telescope 11 is expediently attached in front of the viewing opening, which has a magnifying effect

possesses, so that the object imaged in the range finder 1 appears larger to the eye than in nature.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the range finder 1 is rigidly attached to the objective

can also be adjusted depending on the shooting position of the camera.
