Alkaloidbasen, Kampfer, p-Aminobenzoesäurederivate, Glykoside, Gerbstoffe, CC-disubstituierte Bar-
EMI1.1

Process for the preparation of solutions of organic substances which are sparingly soluble or insoluble in water, with the exception of protein and fat-like substances.
It is known that the amides of the lower fatty acids can improve the solubility ratios of various substances which are insoluble or sparingly soluble in water quite considerably. The substances to be dissolved are those of very different compositions, such as B.
Alkaloid bases, camphor, p-aminobenzoic acid derivatives, glycosides, tannins, CC-disubstituted bar-
EMI1.1
In many cases, however, this dissolving power of the fatty acid amides is not sufficient to obtain such concentrations of dissolved substance as are necessary and desirable to achieve certain therapeutic effects. For this reason, various combinations of the amides of the lower fatty acids, e.g. B. proposed with carbamic acid esters, alkyl or alkylene ureas.
According to the invention, particularly favorable solution results are obtained if a certain percentage of a betaine (most simply ordinary trimethyl betaine) is added to the acid amides or their aqueous solutions. Depending on the type of substance to be dissolved, the solubility of the amide-betaine combination can possibly be further improved by adding some ordinary urea or ethyl alcohol or both.
Examples:
1 .. 10 g of phenylethylbarbituric acid are removed by means of a solvent consisting of 65% acetamide,
EMI1.2
Take formamide.
2. 30 g of dimethylaminophenyldimethylpyrazolone are removed by means of a solvent

PATENT CLAIMS: j. Process for the production of solutions of organic substances which are sparingly soluble or insoluble in water, with the exception of substances similar to proteins and fat, characterized in that. that amides of the lower fatty acids are used as solvents in conjunction with betaines in the presence or absence of water.
