Method and device for manufacturing sterile filters.
The present invention relates to a further application of the method and apparatus according to patent no. 137794.
According to the method of this patent, the sterilization of a filter loaded with cleaned filter material is effected by circulating a sterilizing medium in the circuit: if necessary, this is done by a liquid. which itself has no sterilizing properties, such as. B. Water, which is heated to the sterilization temperature, passed in a closed circuit through the filter loaded with the cleaned filter material and possibly cooled again.
The device for carrying out this method is characterized by a device to be connected or connected to the filter loaded with the cleaned filter material, which device is able to both bring the circulating medium to the sterilization temperature and, if necessary, cool it back again.
If necessary, there are also devices for supplying a gaseous one. disinfecting agent to be circulated is provided in the filter loaded with the cleaned filter material.
It has now been found that the sterilization - by circulating a sterilizing medium in the circuit is not only useful for the sterilization of filters loaded with the cleaned filter material, i.e. in which the filter material used is cleaned outside the filter and after cleaning in the filter is inserted, whereupon the fully assembled filter is sterilized, but also for those filters that are loaded with a filter material that cannot be regenerated or cannot be regenerated. So it is z. B. the well-known paper filters. Fabric filter u. Like .. whose layers are used only once and then thrown away.
All process steps according to the patent Xr. 137794 and the implementation of this

Use filters that have been loaded with filter material that cannot be regenerated.
But also the sterilization of precoat filters is possible according to the method and with the aid of the devices according to the patent Xr. 137794 advantageous according to the invention.
It is z. B. proceed in such a way that the precoat filter mass is distributed in the circulating, steiilizing medium and is circulated with this for so long. until the required filter layers have formed. This creates a sterile precoat filter.
The apparatus of patent no. 137794 only needs to be supplemented to the extent that

Substances can be used as sterilizing agents. which have self-disinfecting properties, such as formaldehyde. sulphurous acid. Carbon dioxide, etc., or. Agents which themselves have no sterilizing properties, such as water, or the liquid to be filtered later itself. B. Beer. which only acquire germicidal properties when heated to the sterilization temperature.
If a small part of the liquid to be filtered is first heated to the sterilization temperature and the filter is sterilized through it, the flow and the losses caused by the subsequent filtration of the main amount of liquid are avoided. The latter process step can also be used with advantage in the case of filters which have been charged with filter material cleaned outside the filter and which are then to be sterilized.
