Gerät zum Ziehen von Wurzelspitzen.
Gegenstand der vorliegenden Patentanmeldung ist ein Gerät zum Ziehen von Wurzelspitzen. Die bisher gebräuchlichen Wurzelspitzenextraktionsvorrichtungen können in zwei Gruppen eingeteilt werden : Einerseits in die sogenannten Hebel (Beinscher Hebel), anderseits in Vorrichtungen, deren Arbeitsweise darin besteht, dass in die betreffende im Kieferknochen verankerte Wurzelspitze ein Gewinde eingeschnitten wird, in das sodann eine entsprechende Schraube eingedreht wird.
Diese beiden Vorrichtungen, an welche sich selbstverständlich einige Varianten anlehnen, haben den Nachteil, dass sie nur dann angewendet werden können, wenn die abgebrochenen Wurzelfragmente in entsprechend zugänglicher Lage sind. Ist jedoch die zu extrahierende Spitze, wie dies des öfteren vorkommt, in einer Lage, die einen direkten Zugriff verhindert, musste sich der Arzt bisher dadurch behelfen, dass er, bevor an die Entfernung des Zahnteiles geschritten wurde, die im Wege behindernd stehende

dass dem Patienten eine im Verhältnis zum Eingriff grosse Wunde zugefügt wird, die starke Nachschmerzen zur Folge hat. Abgesehen davon ist aber auch der mit einer auf diese Art vorgenommenen Extraktion verbundene Zeitaufwand bedeutend, was ebenfalls für den Patienten mit grossen Unannehmlichkeiten verbunden ist.
Der Erfindungsgegenstand gestattet nun dank seiner besonderen Konstruktion die Entfernung von Wurzelpartien in höchst einfacher und schmerzloser Weise und äusserst kurzer Zeit.
Eine Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt und es stellt Fig. 1 das Gerät zum Ziehen der Wurzelspitzen in der Draufsicht in normaler Lage dar, Fig. 2 in Seitenansicht in Normallage und Fig. 3 die Draufsicht bei nach vorne in der Richtung des Pfeiles gedrückter Spreizvorrichtung.
Im wesentlichen besteht die Erfindung darin, dass zwischen den beiden Schenkeln a einer pinzette artigen Vorrichtung eine bewegliche Spreizvorrichtung b derart eingebaut ist, dass beim Drehen dieser Vorrichtung b um die Achse/* die Pinzettenspitzen c (Fig. 3) auseinandergetrieben werden, Diese Pinzettenenden sind in ihren äusseren Teilen mit scharfkantigen Rillen d versehen, wodurch ein festes Angreifen an der Innenwand des Wurzelkanals gewährleistet wird.
Die Extraktion einer abgebrochenen Wurzel erfolgt nun auf folgende Weise : In den durch einen Rundbohrer mittlerer Grösse in Breite und Länge erweiterten und vertieften Kanal der Wurzel wird die Pinzette, die leicht zwischen Daumen und Zeigefinger mit geschlossenen Branchen gehalten wird, unter drehenden Bewegungen so weit eingeführt, bis die Branchen halbwegs fest im Kanal sitzen. Dann wird mit dem Daumen die Spreitzvorrichtung, ohne die Pinzette loszulassen oder den Druck zu vermindern, nach vorne gedrückt (Fig. 3). Dadurch werden die mit einem aufwärts gerichteten Hieb versehenen Branchen fest an die Kanalwand gepresst, verbeissen sieh sozusagen, und nun kann durch einen kräftigen Zug oder mehrere kurze Züge (ohne Hebebewegung) die Wurzel entfernt werden.
Rutscht die Pinzette aus dem Wurzelkanal heraus, so hat man eine noch grössere Spreizmöglichkeit dadurch gegeben, dass man nach normaler Spreizung das Instrument während des Ziehens Fig. 3) bei a noch stärker zusammen- drückt, wodurch die Branchen noch mehr auseinandergespreizt werden. Ist die Wurzel so zart, dass man fürchtet, sie durch Betätigung der Spreizvorrichtung zu sprengen, so lässt man dieselbe in Ruhelage, geht so wie früher in den erweiterten und vertieften Kanal ein und drückt wieder (s. Fig. 2) bei Stelle a zusammen. Dadurch entsteht wieder eine Spreizung : der Pinzettenenden, wobei es dem Arzt und seinem

Gefühl überlassen bleibt, wie fest er zusammendrücken muss, um ein Haften der Pinzettenenden zu erzielen.
Durch die besonders handliche Form der Extraktionsvorrichtung ist es möglich, selbst Wurzelspitzen zu erfassen, die mit den bisher gebräuchlichen Vorrichtungen nicht erfasst werden konnten. Durch die Auseinanderspreizung der Pinzettenspitzen werden diese an die innere Wand des Wurzelkanals gedrückt und verbeissen sich dort infolge der angebrachten Verzahnung. Es kann sodann mit der Pinzette auch das Wurzelfragment entfernt werden.
