Process for throwing off saturation sludge masses containing colloidal substances in a sieve drum.
When throwing off saturation sludge containing colloidal substances in a
Screen drum difficulties arise from the fact that after the previous spinning off of the mass, the internally deposited layer of colloidal substances holds the liquid and consequently the layer of solid matter deposited on the inner wall of the drum cannot be hurled dry.
The purpose of the invention is now to eliminate this drawback and to create a method by which a dry material can be obtained in the centrifuge when spinning off saturation sludge masses containing colloidal substances in an uninterrupted operation.
This is achieved according to the ending by pulling off the layer of colloidal substances deposited on the inside after the previous spinning off of the mass before the final spinning off of the liquid.
The drawing shows a device for carrying out the method according to the
The invention is illustrated by way of example and schematically, and FIG. 1 is a vertical section through the centrifugal drum and FIG. 2 is a plan view of the drum.
1 is the shell of the centrifugal drum designed as a sieve surface, 2 is its bottom and 3 is the top ring of the centrifugal drum. According to the invention is on the floor 2
Centrifugal drum a distribution device 4 is arranged at which the feed pipe 5 for the mass to be thrown opens. The peeling tube 6 is arranged near the top ring 3 and is attached to the outer housing 8 of the centrifugal drum so that it can be adjusted in the radial direction by means of the hand wheel 7. The channel 9 is arranged under the outer end of the peeling tube 6.
The method according to the invention is carried out in such a way that the mass to be thrown is fed through the feed pipe 5 to the distribution device 4, through which the mass is evenly fed to the casing and is evenly distributed over the entire height of the same. The centrifugal mass separates, with part of the liquid contained in it running off through the sieve surface of the drum shell 1, into its components, which are deposited in layers concentrically within the sieve surface. The colloidal substances form the innermost layer in the centrifugal drum. This layer is removed by means of the peeling tube 6 and fed to the channel 9.
By removing this colloidal layer, the permeability of the rest of the mass is restored, and its liquid can escape to the outside through the sieve surfaces, so that a practically dry product is obtained in the drum.
With the method according to the invention, the performance when spinning off saturation sludge masses containing colloidal substances is considerably increased both in terms of the amount to be processed and in terms of the percentage of the liquid thrown off. Furthermore, the colloidal substances can be removed from the centrifugal mass and recovered for themselves, which at the same time enables the colloidal substances to be utilized and the masses to be centrifuged gain in value and processing options.
