Electric condenser, in particular condenser built up from bent elements
 EMI1.1

The invention relates to an electrical capacitor, in particular a capacitor constructed from wound elements with capacitor elements connected in parallel.

In the case of oscillating capacitors, difficulties arise insofar as the metal foils which are contained in the coil and which form the electrodes must be connected to lines attached to the side.

Even with capacitor windings connected in parallel, connections have been made to the individual metal coverings and then connected in series. It has also already been proposed to manufacture capacitor windings in such a way that the electrode tracks are offset from one another by 900, and in each case with the interposition of insulating plates. The known arrangements, however, have the disadvantage that auxiliary bodies are required to hold the individual coils in parallel or in a row, which bring about transition resistances which give rise to voltage losses.

According to the present invention, the parallel connection of wound capacitors is considerably simplified by the fact that the elements made up of foils and insulating material webs are wound in such a way that one of the foils located between insulating material webs is close to one edge or broad surface of the winding and the other is close to the other Edge is bare, u. between on both sides of the roll.

The insulating material and foil webs are all wound together to form a roll in the same way, and the free ends of the foil and insulating material webs overlap, so that one electrode is on one edge of the roll and the other electrode on the other edge of the roll wide lateral surface ends and is laid bare there by inserting windows in the insulating material.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the electrical capacitor according to the invention is shown.

The capacitor is separated by the winding 1, 2,. 3 and 4 formed. 5 and 6 are metal foils which are separated from one another by means of the insulating layers 7 and 8. The film 6 (dash-dotted) is 9 and the film 5 (thick line) is 10 blank. The remaining windings are designed in a corresponding manner. When the rolls are placed on top of one another, the foils 9 come to lie on the foils 9 and the foils 10 on the foils 10 between the individual windings, so that the capacitor windings are connected in parallel without flags or the like having to be attached to the coverings. In the insulating material webs 7 and 8 there are advantageously recesses or windows at points 9 and 10 so that the coverings 5 and 6 do not lie bare on the winding edges 11 and 12.

In order to avoid overheating several coils connected in parallel, it is advisable to alternately place each coil in one or the other turn of copper strips 13 and 14 (FIG. 2).

The copper strips lie on the bare points 9 and 10 of the winding.
