Description

Surface material for the production of dust-free, elastic, water-permeable playgrounds and sports facilities.

Playgrounds and sports facilities of all kinds, as long as they were not laid out as lawns, especially youth playgrounds, gyms, running tracks and tennis courts, have so far been provided with a surface covering made of sand, gravel, wall rubble, street manure (Terlyan). All kinds of these surface materials have shown very significant defects over the years. Pits consisting of sand surfaces are never dust-free in dry, windy times despite being sprinkled, and therefore endanger the health of the players. These blankets also become hard after a short time and playing on them is tiring and painful.

A major disadvantage of the materials made of limestone products is that after heavy or prolonged rain the pitches dry out heavily, become slippery and slippery and therefore cannot be used for a long time or can lead to dangerous falls and injuries while walking.

In contrast, the inventors succeeded in roasting and burning a mixture of the weathered products of a red-violet slate and alum earth and adding iron-shed clay as a binding agent to produce a dust-free, elastic, water-permeable material mixture for playgrounds of all kinds, which meets all health requirements , technology-related and economical.

The inventors mix the weathered slate with alum earth, roast the mixture and burn it to hardness 4 and light red color. The porous pieces obtained are crushed, sifted into coarse and fine-grained material, then an iron-colored clay is added to both types as a binder.

The advantages of the new materials are: freedom from dust, good binding properties, excellent permanent elasticity, maximum drying speed after rain, high foot security, safe walking, real color, minimal maintenance, no frost damage, long service life.

The application of the material described on the substructure of playgrounds and sports fields can be done in a thickness of 2-5 cm, z. B. lower ceiling made of coarse-grained material with a thickness of 2'5 cm, surface layer made of fine-grained material with a thickness of 1 cm. Both layers are first rolled dry, then sprinkled and, in the semi-dry state, rolled several times until the covering is firm.
