Gehalt
an unlöslichen dfunklen farbstoff.schluckenden Bestandteilen aufweisen.Process for the production of colored paving compounds for road construction and similar purposes The task is to

bituminous paving compounds for road construction and similar
lich purposes, such as park and garden paths, open
Verandas, for interiors as a substitute for foot
hardwood and olive oil floors, one of
to give them a color that differs from their hue. the
Solving this task causes difficulties,
because the black color of the bitumen or tar,
due to the micro-
scopically and ultra-microscopically fine carbon
like. also called ikrones and ı ltramicrons
Particles even with predominantly dye
does not keep the hue of the added dyes
can come into effect, but rather this over-
covers.
It is already known to solve this problem by using light-colored binders and to use light-colored resins as such binders in conjunction with bitumen, such as coumarone resin, stearic pitch, which has been mentioned in the literature as the main colorable binder to date, or natural bitumen such as gilsonite, which, when mixed with the usual fillers and minerals, suitably light-colored minerals and dyes, result in colored surfaces for streets, squares, slabs, walls and the like. The disadvantages of using these binders are that, on the one hand, considerable amounts of binders are necessary because the binding capacity of the substances is low and bright, vivid colors cannot be achieved with regard to gilsonite and stearin pitch because they contain a certain amount of insoluble, dark-colored dye-swallowing constituents.
enthaltenden uriorganischen Farben, Anilinfarben, Alizarinfarben,Anthrachinenfarben
usw., sich vermischen lassen. Dabei werden die Farben nicht überdeckt. The invention relates to a method for producing colored covering compounds
for road construction and similar purposes made of minerals, e.g. B. Stone and pit sands
or chips, fillers and dye powders and consists in that as a binder
those extracted from tars, crude oils, pitches or bitumen during selective extraction
Resins are used, especially those made by total or partial dissolution
with hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, alcohols, ethers, esters, ketones,
Carbon disulfide, sulfur dioxide, etc. . Selective pitch and petroleum resins recovered,
alone or in a mixture with more or less light natural or synthetic resins, if necessary
also wax or naturally lighter-colored, non-extracted bituminous
Binders such as B. Gilsonite or stearin pitch, with or without the addition of flux
or plasticizers are used as binders. Through the selective
Extraction, the insoluble constituents are almost completely removed from the extraction media
removed. Surprisingly, it has been found that the products used in the selective
Extraction are obtained, have very good bitumen-like binding properties that
are not affected by the weather either. It is also surprising
that this is due to the total or partial withdrawal of the dye-absorbing fine
and the finest carbonaceous constituents more or less brightened
bitumen-like binders without and with admixture of other, non-carbonaceous
Resin or waxy binders containing ingredients with dyes of all
Kind, like organic and inorganic, thus earth colors, metal oxide colors, sulfur
containing uriorganic colors, aniline colors, alizarin colors, anthrachine colors
etc. to mix. The colors are not covered.
z. B. Kalksteinmehl, Quarzmehl, Schiefermehl usw.The dye powder can, if they are not completely in solution
go, the very finest rock dust necessary for dense bituminous building masses
Replace added filler in whole or in part, as they themselves have a filler effect
and are usually even finer ground than the usual rock fillers, such as
z. B. Limestone powder, quartz powder, slate flour, etc.
The new, produced in this way, in the manner of the usual bituminous paving compounds
composite binder-dye-mineral mixtures are wear-resistant, light-
and water-resistant, do not become unsightly when it rains, have sufficient properties
Elasticity as well as a noticeable sound and heat insulation capacity. In the preparation of
of screeds, it is advantageous to add the binding agent to an additional hardening process,
z. B. by adding harder synthetic and natural resins, possibly with simultaneous
Subject to exposure to oxygen or sulfur.
Auch können hochpolymere Kohlenwasserstoffe oder ChlorkohlenNs,asserstoffe,
wie z. B. Kautschuk,
Chlorkautschuk, Polyvinylchlorid u. a., mit Vorteil
treten.
Awsführungsl>eispiel i Zur Herstellung farbiger bituminöser Belagmassen oder farbiger

High polymer hydrocarbons or chlorocarbons, water such as. B. rubber, Chlorinated rubber, polyvinyl chloride, etc., with advantage
can be added.
The explanation of this effect is once in the
intensive coloring effect of the dyes, as in d: -ri
high-percentage metal oxide paints, and especially
on the other hand it can be seen that with (1 ° r selective

material-like particles than in normal de-
stillation arise. A major benefit of this

step.
Awsleitl> e Example i For the production of colored bituminous paving compounds or colored slabs based on the usual tar or asphalt fine concrete when using black bituminous "cans, a mixture of the usual filler-sand-gravel mixture is suitable, for example, in which the filler is at least about Amount of added dye powder is reduced, in hell of 880/0, 7., 5 "/ o extracted petroleum resin or coal tar pitch resin of the selective extraction and 4.5 0/0 '-N / letalloxy (Ifarl) fabric powder, z. B. chromium oxide green or l: isenoxvdgelb, where the dye is your mineral before or after the addition of the binder 1> between. can also be added to the liquefied resin before it is added to the mineral-filler mixture, but in this case it must be stirred thoroughly beforehand.
It is useful to add filler and dye to the "mineral" before adding it
to warm to a mixing with the warmed or heated mineral and the likewise
lightened binders made sufficiently thin by heating are perfect
to achieve homogeneous, evenly loose and loose end mixtures.
Penetration
von 1 5 Grad zu benutze-.i. Durch Beimischung von
harten Kunst- oder Naturharzen zu den gegebenen-
falls nicht ausreichend harten Extraktionsharzen
lizw. kolilenstoffartneti Naturbitumen, wie z. B.
Gilsonit, läßt sich dieses erreichen.
So wird z. 13. eine rote Gußasphaltmasse erhalten

ralfüller mit 4o% Quarz- oder Brechsanden,

falls auch rotem Porphyr, zu insgesamt 85"/o, 5%

kann.
The filler can also be added to the "mineral mixture, appropriately warmed, together with the colored binder: it seems, however, practically more correct to first mix and warm the mineral mixture and filler with water, if necessary, and then to mix in the colored binder. Embodiment 2 For the production of colored bituminous pavement masses of the mastic asphalt type, which, in contrast to the rollable, tampable and compressible masses of embodiment t, are spread or poured, it is advisable to use particularly hard selective extraction resins as the binder base with a penetration of about .15 degrees; 25 degrees are preferable, and for special cases those with penetration are preferred from 1 5 degrees to use-.i. By adding
hard synthetic or natural resins to the given
if not sufficiently hard extraction resins
lizw. kolilenstoffartneti natural bitumen, such as. B.
Gilsonite, can this be achieved.
So z. 13. Get a red mastic asphalt mass
