auf i oo Teile Kumaronharz zusetzt. Mit ioo Teilen eines derart hergestellten Bindemittels
werden dann etwa ; oo Teile geeigneter Füllmittel, darunter beispielsweise i 5o
Teile eines Farbpigmentes, eingebunden. Es hat sich als zweckmäßig erwiesen, als
Farbpigment schwefelhaltige Pigmente zu benutzen, insbesondere hochsulfidhaltige
Lithopone. Andere Farben können durch Zusatz mineralischer Pigmente neben Lithopon
erzielt «erden.
Menge grobes Marmorschrott zugesetzt.
Process for the production of building materials from coumarone resin object
of the present patent forms the production of a new building material, which
characterized by great tightness, freedom from pores and impermeability to water.
The building material consists of coumarone resin, which is melted with fillers, preferably
mineral fillers. One used of the various
Commercially available coumarone resins are preferably the tough ones, since the brittle ones are too brittle
and are too hard and the soft ones are not sufficiently hard. For purposes
where the building material, e.g. B. in road construction, against temperatures above about ¢ o ° C
If you want to be resistant, it is recommended to use hard waxes with the coumarone resin
- or high molecular weight hydrocarbons such as anthracene, pinene and the like to fuse,
to raise the melting point. For example, by adding io
% raw carnauba wax, the softening point of one that softens at around 4.5 to 50 °
Increase coumarone resin to 80 to 90 degrees. The toughness of the coumarone resin or that with
Mixture of coumarone resin and hard waxes or hard hydrocarbons with fillers
can be increased with good success by adding about [parts] of rubber to the mixture
added coumarone resin to 100 parts. With 100 parts of a binder produced in this way
will then be about; oo parts of suitable fillers, including, for example, i 5o
Parts of a color pigment, incorporated. It has been found to be useful when
Color pigment to use sulfur-containing pigments, especially high-sulphide pigments
Lithopone. Other colors can be created by adding mineral pigments in addition to Lithopon
achieved «earth. The rubber is best delivered in the form of a concentrated, e.g. B.
3% solution of the melted coumarone resin or coumarone resin-wax mixture
incorporated. The choice of filler depends on the intended use.
The addition of fine marble powder in addition to larger ones has proven to be effective in all cases
Amounts of coarse marble scrap for those cases where, e.g. B. in road construction, a
rough surface is required. The production is done, for example, in such a way that
first by melting together carnauba wax with ten times the amount of one
suitable coumarone resin is made into a melt, in which about the carnauba wax
equal or slightly larger amounts of a concentrated solution of plantation rubber
is stirred in. Then, while stirring continuously, di-2 ii; `, times is added in portions
Amount of coumarone resin in lithopone and, if this is evenly distributed
has the same amount of fine marble powder as the kumaron resin and 6 to 7 times as much
Amount of coarse marble scrap added. This mixture forms one at i oo to izo °
pourable slurry and can either be poured into molds for the production of building elements
or used directly on the street. The product made in this way
is both. as a building material, e.g. B. at
Concrete structures, as insulating
Wallcovering; to use -as @ auc4 above all as road construction material for
Manufacture of traffic signs, markings for sports and tennis courts as well
as a roadway for roads in connection or as a replacement for the usual asphalt.
In particular, it has also proven to be an embedding material for rails instead of asphalt
proven, which is known to be destroyed by the movement of the rails at the interface
will. As mentioned above, the material is impermeable to water and suffers
therefore not under frost destruction. It easily connects to asphalt and
dry cement, especially if the surfaces of these building materials are exposed to temperatures of
q.o to 5o ° are preheated. It is therefore suitable for laying on cement and already
lying asphalt surfaces, which are covered waterproof by this layer.
The material does not combine easily with wood and also not with iron,
but wood cladding can be made permanently with the material if you
The wood is first provided with a layer of bitumen and then the new building material is applied
applies. In the case of iron, an asphalt coating is sufficient to create the connection.
It has already been proposed to provide coumarone resin with fillers
and to process it into a plastic mass for road surfaces that the
coumarone resin g / 4, which is a sticky liquid, with used gas mass
is mixed and vulcanized by heating. The coumarone resin, which according to the present
Invention used is a solid, tough, hard coumarone resin that is mixed with the fillers
must be merged. According to the invention, free sulfur can be used in the production
are not added to the mass, as this immediately turns the coumarone resin dark in color
and it would be impossible to produce colored or even white masses. That would
mean an extensive restriction of the area of application, since the building materials according to,
of the invention as plaster inlays, as a terrazzo replacement for floors and as insulating
Wallcovering should be used.
