Device for rescue from sunken submersibles.
The subject of the invention is a device for rescuing sunken submersibles, which makes it possible to first raise an emergency signal to the surface of the water in the event of an accident and then establish a connection with the environment for the purpose of rescuing the crew or repairing the submarine without that water gets inside the submersible.
It is essential that the device protrudes into the interior of the boat so that the individual parts are easily accessible, the device being designed so that the switch which activates the light source of the emergency signal is accessible from inside the submarine and the switch room can be concluded for itself.
According to the invention, the threads of the individual parts are to be loosened in the opposite direction so that, for example, loosening the lower cover does not at the same time result in a loosening of the upper cover, whereby water could penetrate.
In the drawing, the object of the invention is shown, for example, u. FIG. 1 shows the signaling device to be let down from the sunken boat with an attached luminous element, FIG. 2 shows the rescue bell let down from a rescue ship and screwed onto the hull.
EMI1.1
Boat body 1 is connected by rivets. This piece has a thread on its inside, in such a way that a cover can be screwed into the lower part of the same, with its right-angled edge resting against the lower edge of the ring piece 6. Against the upper flange of this ring piece lies an angular piece provided with threads, which inside again has threads in which an intermediate ring 8 is seated.
Another angular ring 10 is screwed into this intermediate ring 8 and carries a screwed cover 7 at the bottom. Under this cover 7, the lower cover 9 sits in the internal thread of the intermediate ring 8. The upper and lower covers 7 and 9 have left-hand threads, while all the rings have right-hand threads on the outside.
This facility makes it possible to establish a connection with the outside world. If the lower cover 9 is loosened after removing the lower protective cap, which is done by turning it clockwise, this does not result in loosening of the ring gap, which only turns more tightly in the thread if there is any resistance. After removing this cover 9, the upper cover 7 is easily accessible, and it still closes the interior of the submersible from the outside world. If the upper cover 7 is now also unscrewed by turning it clockwise, the electrical switch 5 of the battery 3 can be actuated and the incandescent lamp 4 can be illuminated. The cover 7 is then screwed tight again.
The switch is now again in a space which is closed on all sides and which is only accessible by loosening the cover 7. The increasingly tighter screwing in of the cover 7 in the counterclockwise direction of rotation will mean that the ring piece 10 begins to unscrew from the thread of the intermediate ring 8. The intermediate ring 8 is then also set in rotation counter to the clockwise direction, with the result that the angle ring 10 gradually detaches from its screw connection with the intermediate ring 8.
On this intermediate ring 8 was in-

of the submersible from the outside world also created when the ring 10 with the float and the incandescent lamp by continuing to rotate the intermediate ring 8 from the
Connection with the submersible releases. The floating body 2 with the incandescent lamp 4, in which letter mail can also be placed, then rises to the surface and designates the point at which the submersible is under water.
The float is of course by a connecting means not shown here, such as. B. a rope or cable connected to the submarine, the latter in one
Box, which protrudes into the interior of the boat, is located next to the actual rescue device.
In FIG. 2 it is shown how the submarine is brought into air communication with the outside world. The diver can insert the bell 11 into the ring piece 6 and screw it tight. Once this has happened, the lower cover 9 is removed from the interior of the submersible and then also released from the cover 12 from the submersible, whereupon the
Fresh air can be supplied to the submersible, and the crew can also enter the inside of the bell to be pulled up.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A device for rescuing sunken submersibles, characterized in that a system of concentrically arranged rings screwed together is provided, which is closed by overlapping covers (7, 9), which protrudes into the interior of the boat in the boat body (1) Rings, insofar as this is necessary for screwing together, with right-hand thread, insofar as this is necessary for screwing in the cover, are provided with left-hand thread, the whole thing for the purpose of activating an emergency signal after removing the cover, after screwing the cover back in, this from the hull and then to be able to screw a bell, which has been let down by a rescue ship, to the hull of the boat, into which the crew can go to be pulled up.
