Der Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Verbesserung einer Waschmaschine mit einer allseits Lochungen aufweisenden Wäschetrommel, deren Deckel und Boden kegelstumpfartig eingezogen sind und die während des Wasehprozesses in ihrem als Kessel ausgebildeten Zylinder kolbenartig hin und her bewegt und zum Trocknen der Wäsche als Zentrifuge in Umdrehung versetzt wird.

In der Zeichnung ist die Waschmaschine nach der Erfindung in einer beispielsweisen Ausführungform in einem Vertikalschnitt veranschaulicht. Sie besteht aus einem zylindrischen Kessel 1, welcher oben mit einem in der Mitte eingezogenen, abnehmbaren Deckel 2 abgeschlossen ist. In dem Kessel ist die allseitig mit Loehungen versehene Wäschetrommel 3 drehbar und kolbenartig verschiebbar gelagert.
Der Boden 4 sowie der abnehmbare Deckel a, der als Zentrifugentrommel wirkenden Wäschetrommel 3 sind in der Mitte eingezogen, um einerseits eine gleichmässig Verteilung der Wäsche am Umfang der Trommel beim Einlegen zu ermöglichen, anderseits beim Waschen das Durchlangen der Wäsche zu begünstigen.
Ebenso ist auch der abnehmbare Deckel : 2 sowie der Boden 6 des Kessels 1 im selben Masse eingezogen, wie der mit ihnen korrespondierende Deckel 5 und Boden 4 der Waschtrommel 3. Durch die an beiden Seiten eingezogene Waschtrommel wird die Wäsche gleichmässig verteilt: durch den iibereinstimmend mit der Einschnürung der Wasehtrommel eingeschnürten Kessel wird die für einen Waschprozess erforderliche Wassermenge um ein beträchtliches Mass vermindert.
