Process for the production of rapidly setting road surfaces with water glass as
Binder.

In the parent patent no. 121552, relating to a process for the production of rapidly setting road surfaces with water glass as the binder, it is stated that, among other things, an addition of magnesium silicates of the asbestos type to silicate macadam compounds produced in a known manner is advantageous.

It has been found that when porous silicates are used in excess, the absorption
 EMI1.1
Incorporating a rock mixture up to 50 parts by weight of a 36- to 40-degree waterglass solution.

An absorbent effect of such rock mixtures for water glass can also be added to other porous silicates, eg. B. pumice stone or by adding kieselguhr up to about 50 parts by weight of the chippings can be achieved.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Process for the production of rapidly setting road surfaces with water glass as a binding agent
 EMI1.2
Silicates such as asbestos, especially in the form occurring under the name of asbestine, pumice stone, porous silica or similar liquid absorbing substances are added and waterglass solution is then added to this mixture.
