   Die Erfindung bezieht sieh auf eine Formatbegrenzung an   Langsiebpapier-u. dgl. Maschinen   ohne Deckelriemen und besteht in einer besonderen Art der Abdichtung der Formatleisten. 



   Diese Formatbegrenzung wird durch je eine in an sich bekannter Weise feststehende Formatleiste und einen gegen dieselbe gerichteten Wasserstrahl auf jeder Seite des Siebes bewerkstelligt, doch wird erfindungsgemäss der Wasserstrahl nicht von oben gegen die feststehende Formatleiste gespritzt, sondern von unten durch das Sieb hindurch. Dadurch wird erreicht, dass der Wasserstrahl auf die ganze Breite der Formatleiste gerichtet werden kann, so dass dieselbe auf ihrer vollen Breite bestrichen wird und zwischen Formatleiste und Sieb eine Ausbreitung des Wasserstrahles in Gestalt eines Wirbels auftritt, der den Stoff wirksam daran hindert, unter der Leiste hindurch nach aussen herauszutreten.
