   Auf diese Weise können rasch und bequem von jedem Arzt oder seinem Hilfspersonal genau passende Verbände, Stützschienen, Mieder u. dgl. für chirurgische oder orthopädische Zwecke hergestellt werden, welche gegenüber der Verwendung von Gips, Leder u. dgl. den Vorteil besonderer Leichtigkeit und Festigkeit bei geringen Kosten haben. Ein nach der Erfindung hergestellter Verband kann an jeder gewünschten Stelle entzwei geschnitten werden, um den Verlauf des Heilungsprozesses zu beobachten und lässt sich dann durch neuerliches Beleben mit den erwähnten Papierstreifen an der Schnittstelle wieder schliessen, so dass der alte Verband, ohne abgenommen zu werden, in Verwendung bleibt.
