Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Process for cleaning the drafts of heating systems.
It is known to free the fire pipes of water systems by means of a steam blower from the settled soot and fly ash residues. The steam required for this is available for. B. in smaller heating systems, such as in particular oven. Central heating and large commercial stoves are not available, so that up to now one was forced to laboriously clean the trains of such systems by scraping and sweeping them out. This type of cleaning is very laborious and time-consuming and contaminates the entire area around the systems. In addition, this cleaning usually does not lead to the goal, because the trains running perpendicular to the channels provided with soot extraction cannot be reached with the crutch and therefore cannot be freed from soot and fly ash.
The aim of the invention is to provide the owner of such systems with a simple means of safely cleaning the trains and flight eye canals of his heating system. The procedure. which forms the subject of the invention consists in the fact that a propellant charge is caused to ignite in the trains to be cleaned. which has a strong gas evolution when burned slowly. The residues deposited on the walls and bottom of the trains are removed by the gases generated. like soot and fly ash, carried away and driven out through the chimney of the heating system. The propellant that z.
B. consists of sulfur, saltpeter and coal, is expediently filled into a cartridge that is either placed in one of the trains or in the furnace or held in by hand and burned.
