EMI1.1

EMI1.1
The invention relates to a further embodiment of the signal system, which is actuated by the successive driving of three rail contacts by a train, according to the main patent
EMI1.2
With this signal system, the following three switching processes are triggered by successively driving on three rail contacts or the like: switching on the signals, switching off the signals and returning the signal system to the normal position.
For operational safety, it is now very important to monitor these switching operations from somewhere (station, signal box, guard house) in order to be able to bring the signaling system into the normal position from the control point in the event of a malfunction.
In order to be able to carry out both the control and the resetting of the signal system via a single line, the direct current available for the operation of the signal system is used for the resetting and an alternating current generated from this direct current by means of a buzzer and transformer is used for the reset with the appropriate use of chokes and Capacitors used.
For the purpose of checking that the flashing light signals have been switched on at the crossing, part of the periodically interrupted flashing current is converted into periodically interrupted alternating current.
EMI1.3
those that come into operation during the other switching processes are provided with contacts that are closed as soon as the associated relays (relay groups) have moved from their normal position and that cause a constantly flowing alternating current to come about, which then has a constant optical effect in the control point or produces an acoustic signal. Only when all relays (relay groups) have returned to their normal position after the train has passed does this control signal disappear.
If for any reason the normal position has not occurred, the control signal remains and an auxiliary relay can be activated by pressing a button from the control point in the signal system, which initiates all the switching processes required for resetting by changing its contacts the signal system are necessary.
After resetting, the control signal disappears in the control point.
A simple embodiment of this control and reset arrangement, applied to the warning signal system protected by the first additional patent, is shown in FIG. 1.
When the train drives over the rail contact A, the pair of support armature relays Roi-74 is switched and when contact 2 is closed, the flashing light signals (bell signals) S are transmitted

switched. Branching off at M, the periodically interrupted direct current coming from the flasher device is converted into periodically interrupted chopped direct current by the self-interrupting device <S'Mi *) First additional patent for patent No. 105637. Second additional patent for patent No. 1084R7.

decomposed, which is passed through the first primary winding P1 of the transformer Tu.
A corresponding, periodically interrupted, asymmetrical alternating current arises in the secondary winding 81, which activates the optical or acoustic control signal K via the line Kl in the control point at the rate of activity of the flashing light signals (bell signals) set up at the crossing
EMI2.1
this AC circuit is blocked by the choke Dr.
If the train now drives rail contact B, the pair of support armature relays R2-R5 is switched and by opening contact 6 the current flow to Blinkeinriehtung Bl is interrupted, whereby the blinking light signals 8 and the corresponding periodically interrupted control signals are switched off in the control point. At the same time, however, contact 7a is closed, as a result of which the current running current source L, line h, contact 7a, Selbstuntercher Su2, second primary winding P2, earth comes about. The constant alternating current occurring in the secondary winding 81 brings a constant control signal K into effect via the line Kl in the control point.
When the train finally drives over the track contact C, relay Ra picks up and remains in the pulled position as long as there is still a pull axle on the isolated track J. 8. II. By closing the contact 9, the two pairs of support armature relays - R4 and Rf - R, are brought into the basic position.
The opening contact 7a of the control circuit has already been replaced when the relay Ra is pulled in by the contact 11a that is parallel to 7a and is now closed, so that the control

the control signal to disappear. If one or both pairs of support armature relays R, .- R, or R2-Rs have not returned to their normal position, the control signal remains in the control point and by pressing the T button the auxiliary relay Rr. Is brought to pick up again, whereby through
EMI2.3
An embodiment of the control and reset arrangement, applied to the warning signal system to be protected by the second additional patent, is shown in FIG. 2.
The control over the activity of the flashing light signals (bell signals) is carried out as before by part of the periodically interrupted direct current coming from the flashing device via contact 2
EMI2.4
The changeover of the relays sss, jSg and R4 is indicated by the closing of the contacts 5a, 7a and 8a connected in parallel with a constant control signal. If, for whatever reason, one of the relays does not return to the normal position after the train has passed, the auxiliary relay R4 can be activated by pressing the T button in the control point. By opening the contact 8, this interrupts the power supply from the power source L1 to the busbar L2, from which all relays are fed.
The energized relays are de-energized, return to their normal position and the control signal disappears.
3 shows a simplification of the device for converting direct current into alternating current.
Instead of the two self-breakers used in FIGS. 1 and 2 and the transformer with two primary windings, only a single self-breaker is used here, which is provided with three windings. Two of these windings P1 and P2 are fed with direct current via m and n and their common ends e are led to the self-interrupting contact r. The third winding S1 is to be understood as a secondary transformer winding in which the alternating current intended for the control is generated.
