Der Querschnitt der Einzeldrähte kann rund oder viereckig sein, aber auch irgendeine andere beliebige Form besitzen. Die Zahl der Lagen richtet sich nach der Bemessung der Einzelleiter und der Breite des zusammengesetzten Leiters.
