  Verfahren zur Herstellung von durch   Metallstäbe   versteiften Holzplatten. 



   Um das Werfen und Verziehen von Holzplatten zu verhindern, verwendet man sogenannte Gratleisten, die in die Platte eingeschoben werden. Es wurde auch schon vorgeschlagen, die Gratleisten und die benachbarten Flächen der Holzplatte zu nuten und in den von den Nuten gebildeten Kanal einen Metallstab einzuschieben. Die Erfindung bezweckt, die Versteifung der Holzplatte auf einfachere Weise zu erreichen. 



   An den Querenden der Platte werden Nuten n angebracht (Fig. 1 und 3), in die ein oder mehrere Metallstäbe s, am besten Eisenstäbe (Fig. 2 und 3) hochkantig eingelegt werden. Die Nuten gehen nicht bis an die Längsseiten der Platte durch, sondern erhalten die in Fig. 3 im wagrechten Schnitte gezeigte Form. Der Raum der Nut, der nach dem Hineinpressen der in die Nut strenge passenden Metallstäbe noch freibleibt, wird mit Hirnholz h (Fig. 2 und 3) ausgefüllt. Das Hirnholz wird eingeleimt. Die Metallstäbe s dürfen nicht eingeleimt werden, um das Nachtroeknen der Platte zu gestatten. Vorteilhaft ist es, zwischen die Metallstäbe s und das Hirnholz   h   einen Papierstreifen einzulegen (Fig. 2).

   In order to prevent the throwing and warping of wooden panels, so-called burr strips are used, which are pushed into the panel. It has also been proposed to groove the burr strips and the adjacent surfaces of the wooden panel and insert a metal rod into the channel formed by the grooves. The invention aims to achieve the stiffening of the wooden panel in a simpler way.



   At the transverse ends of the plate grooves n are made (Fig. 1 and 3), in which one or more metal rods s, preferably iron rods (Fig. 2 and 3) are placed on edge. The grooves do not go through to the long sides of the plate, but are given the shape shown in Fig. 3 in horizontal section. The space in the groove, which remains free after the metal rods have been pressed into the groove, is filled with end-grain h (FIGS. 2 and 3). The end grain is glued. The metal rods must not be glued in order to allow the plate to dry afterwards. It is advantageous to insert a paper strip between the metal rods s and the end grain h (FIG. 2).

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the production of wooden panels stiffened by metal rods, characterized in that one or more strictly fitting metal rods are inserted into the grooves worked into the transverse ends of the wooden panel and then wooden strips are glued into the spaces of the grooves not occupied by the metal rods.
