Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Rotierender Gleichrichter.
 EMI1.1

  Rotating rectifier.
 EMI1.1

This results in less idling for the machine and enables a direct flow of lines of force from the permanent magnet to the stator, which makes it unnecessary to use sheet metal
 EMI1.2

In order to achieve spark-free operation, it is particularly useful to arrange short-circuit brushes (Fig. 2) on the collector on both sides of the main brush B in a manner known per se, which can be adjusted to adapt them to the current voltages, so that the rectifier can also be used for inductive loads .

The short-circuiting of the secondary current takes place at the moment when it reaches its highest voltage and the alternating current to be rectified its lowest voltage; This prevents current from flowing through the short-circuit brushes when idling, but ensures that the secondary current, which is caused in the inductive load by the pulsating direct current, is short-circuited via the auxiliary brushes.

In the figure, Fig. 1, an embodiment of the invention is shown, u. zw. S denotes the permanent magnet, H its auxiliary winding, K the starting collector, G the synchronous collector, 1 and 2 the brushes that slide on the starting collector and are connected directly to the alternating current network WW, St the stator with pronounced poles and with several Contact buttons tapped from the winding, to which the winding is connected to the alternating current network W via a switching lever Sel.
 EMI1.3
and on the other hand via the switching lever Sch through the stator winding.

After reaching the synchronous number of revolutions, the brushes 1 and 2 of the start-up collector K
 EMI1.4
by switching on stator windings via the contact buttons.
