Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Process to make aluminum sheet suitable for writing and printing.
Various methods have been proposed to make aluminum sheet suitable for writing and printing. For this purpose, the aluminum was degreased and stained, or the surface was roughened with fine brushes.
The prints and writings on aluminum sheets produced in this way are never completely pure or are easily blurred if they are often touched with perhaps not completely dry hands, as is the case, for example, with menus in inns.
According to the invention, the aluminum sheet, after it has been removed by stripping or, in particular, by brushing with gasoline, soap and the like Like. Is cleaned, provided with a coating of protein. On this protein coating, which can consist of chicken protein, blood albumin, casein, etc., any color holds very well and prints can also be made using the offset process.
The use of watercolors is also possible because they are bound by the protein and then treated with any known hardening agent of the albumin, e.g. B.
Formalin can be hardened and made insoluble.
In this way, you can also make drawings or characters that are indelible in alcohol, while ordinary ink or pencil characters can be completely washed off the uncured or hardened protein layer.
