Description
Process for the production of master copies by lithographic Drawing on stolen glass plates For the production of master copies for lithographic For purposes it is known to produce the lithographic drawing on stolen glass plates. Other clear, stolen documents are also used for this purpose been, for example, a granular film of nitro or acetyl cellulose, where the use of a grid is dispensable.
With these known processes, however, it was practically impossible to to completely remove a drawing made once, so that the carrier could only be used once for the lithographic drawing, i.e. the cost were relatively high for each individual print. Difficulties arose for the same reason as soon as changes are made to a lithographic drawing should be because the original drawing could not be completely removed.
Difficulties also arose when clean drawings were to be made with Indian ink, since ink tends to run on an ordinary glass plate .
The invention avoids these evils by the fact that the robbed Surface of a glass plate before recording the image with a preferably In petrol insoluble lacquer, for example nitrocellulose lacquer, so thinly coated that the grain is retained. By applying a glass plate becomes thereby avoiding any risk of warping, while on the other hand the lacquer layer allows working with Indian ink without the risk of bleeding. The roughening of the glass plate is best done by sandblasting. A surface roughened in this way results after covering with the lacquer layer a surface, the grain of which is suitable for the one in question Purposes is particularly favorable. The lowest points are the original Surface filled so far by the paint; that the chalk or ink does not get into it and can get stuck there. As a result, the once produced Remove the drawing completely with suitable solvents without difficulty, see above that changes can be made without further ado.
For some purposes it is advantageous to use the one provided with the lacquer layer Glass plate to be covered with a blueprint emulsion; in this can the picture or its outlines can be copied while after developing the drawing on this layer is made. You then have it in your hand, as required only remove the drawing at one point to allow for a change or, when the printing is finished, the drawing together with the blueprint emulsion to remove while the layer of laughter remains on the plate. Through the layer of paint if this method of working avoids parts of the blueprint emulsion at fix the deepest points of the roughening.
In the case of multi-color printing, a corresponding Number of glass plates, the outlines are copied, whereupon the individual glass plates be lithographed according to the individual colors.
For drawing on the glass plates according to the invention is suitable on best a soft chalk or pencil type. In addition, as mentioned, can also Drawings are made with ink and pen. Chalk drawings can be used for Improvement of the opacity in the known way dusted with graphite will.
