Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Fig. 2 zeigt eine Mühlsteinhälfte rechtsla. ifend, mit Segmenten a, Luftfurchen b,

180   ? m :   breit. Anzahl und Grösse der Segmente werden durch den Durchmesser der Mühlsteine bestimmt ;

  From segment pieces, leaving soft air furrows, assembled millstone.

   The subject matter of this invention relates to millstones which are composed of pieces of segments and where the individual segments are connected by narrow strips of soft material, which are designed and maintained as air grooves.

    The binders required to produce the customary artificial millstones have not been available in pre-war quality for years. Artificial millstones that are supposed to be porous and sharp, e.g. B. millstones for grinding oats, therefore do not correspond to the circumstances that led to the present invention.

   Millstones composed of segments and soft Luftfurehen are known. What is new is the use of hard-fired porous sandstone segments, which are made more homogeneous, i.e. more resistant, on the narrow side by adding finer grains. The segments are shaped in such a way that they can be used for left- and right-handed millstones.

   The drawing shows in Fig. 1 the section of a millstone with inserted segments a, breast e,
Ceiling d and eye e. Fig. 2 shows a millstone half on the right. ifend, with segments a, air furrows b,
Breast c and eye e, and Fig. 3 one half of the millstone running to the left.

  The shape of the segments in FIG. 2 is such that it can be used for FIG. 3 when turned from the bottom up. So only one shape is required for right and left hand millstones.

   The segments a are formed from natural or artificial emery and are hard-fired like grinding wheels, so they are insensitive to moisture and heat.

   When producing the segment stones, all segments are inserted into a millstone either according to Fig. 2 or 3 in a form in such a way that spaces remain for the air grooves b, which
Cement, Sorel cement 1. The like, also with the addition of soft filler material.

   The grinding path of a Si composed of segments: one is 120-200 mm high and 100 bis
180? m: wide. The number and size of the segments are determined by the diameter of the millstones;
The chest and top are dimensioned as required and, as is customary with the production of French millstones, shaped.
