Abstract

La descripción se refiere a microorganismos aislados -que incluyen nuevas cepas de los microorganismos, consorcios microbianos y composiciones agrícolas que comprenden los mismos. Además, la descripción enseña métodos para utilizar los microorganismos descritos, consorcios microbianos y composiciones agrícolas que comprenden los mismos, en métodos para impartir propiedades beneficiosas a especies de plantas diana. En aspectos particulares, la descripción proporciona métodos para aumentar las características convenientes de las plantas en especies de cultivos importantes desde el punto de vista agronómico. Reivindicación 1: Una composición sintética, que comprende: a. una célula microbiana, exudado de la misma o caldo de cultivo de la misma, en donde la célula microbiana se selecciona del grupo que consiste en: i. una célula microbiana que comprende una secuencia 16S que comparte al menos 95% de identidad con cualquiera de las SEQ ID Nº 1 - 14; ii. una célula microbiana obtenida o derivada de la cepa 101136 de Priestia megaterium; depositada como NRRL B-68087; y iii. una célula microbiana obtenida o derivada de la cepa 101166 de Paenibacillus celulosilyticus, depositada como NRRL B-68088; y b. al menos una composición heteróloga seleccionada del grupo que consiste en: un elemento vegetal, un componente de formulación, una composición agrícola y cualquier combinación de los anteriores; en donde el microbio está presente a una concentración de al menos aproximadamente 10^2 UFC/ml en una formulación líquida, o al menos aproximadamente 10^2 UFC/gramo en una formulación no líquida. Reivindicación 26: El método de la reivindicación 22, en donde dicha introducción en el elemento vegetal se logra al recubrir dicho elemento vegetal con una formulación sustancialmente no líquida del microbio o exudado del mismo.
