Abstract

Se proporciona un método para producir un N-monoalquilaminoácido o un éster de este o un péptido que contiene el N-monoalquilaminoácido o un éster de este, el método que comprende un paso de alquilación que consiste en mezclar un aminoácido inicial o un éster de este o un péptido que contiene el aminoácido inicial o un éster de este, un agente alquilante primario C₁-C₆ o un haluro de metilo sustituido y un catalizador en un disolvente en la presencia de hidrógeno, donde el paso de alquilación se lleva a cabo a una presión de 1 atm o más y produce un N-monoalquilaminoácido o un éster de este o un péptido que contiene el N-monoalquilaminoácido o un éster de este en el cual un grupo alquilo primario correspondiente al agente alquilante primario C₁-C₆ o el haluro de metilo sustituido se une a un grupo amino del aminoácido inicial o un éster de este.
