Abstract
Reivindicación 1: Un proceso para purificar un compuesto de la clase de pleuromutilinas, donde el proceso comprende tratar una composición que comprende una pleuromutilina y una o más impurezas con un nucleófilo en presencia de un solvente para generar una composición que comprende pleuromutilina y uno o más aductos de reacción de impureza-nucleófilo. Reivindicación 10: Una composición que comprende pleuromutilina o una sal de ella, que contiene £ 0,5% (5000 ppm) del compuesto de fórmula (1), preferiblemente £ 0,1% (1000 ppm) del compuesto de fórmula (1), más preferiblemente £ 0,05% (500 ppm) del compuesto de fórmula (1), incluso más preferiblemente £ 0,01% (100 ppm) del compuesto de fórmula (1). Reivindicación 11: Una composición que comprende tiamulina o una sal de ella, que contiene £ 0,5% (5000 ppm) del compuesto de fórmula (2), preferiblemente £ 0,1% (1000 ppm) del compuesto de fórmula (2), más preferiblemente £ 0,05% (500 ppm) del compuesto de fórmula (2), incluso más preferiblemente £ 0,01% (100 ppm) del compuesto de fórmula (2). Reivindicación 13: Una composición que comprende pleuromutilina y al menos un compuesto seleccionado del grupo que consiste en grupo de fórmulas (3). Reivindicación 16: Un método para purificar tiamulina o una sal de ella a partir de un compuesto de fórmula (2), comprendiendo el método: (i) proporcionar una composición que comprende tiamulina o una sal de ella y el compuesto de fórmula (2); (ii) abrir el epóxido de fórmula (2) con un nucleófilo para proporcionar uno o más aductos de reacción; y (iii) separar la tiamulina o una sal de ella del uno o más aductos de reacción.
