Abstract

Un sistema para reducir niveles de aflatoxina en maíz que comprende: un tanque comprende por lo menos una entrada de fluido y un nivel de llenado predeterminado; una herramienta de eliminación de capa con capacidad de eliminar maíz y líquido del tanque, en donde la herramienta de eliminación de capa se conecta a una fuente de vacío dimensionada y configurada para eliminar líquido y maíz contaminado con aflatoxina; un líquido teniendo un volumen suficiente para cubrir un lote de maíz que tiene maíz contaminado con aflatoxina y maíz no contaminado y que tiene una densidad mayor que la del maíz contaminado con aflatoxina; en donde el maíz contaminado flota en la parte superior del líquido en el tanque y la herramienta de eliminación de capa elimina el maíz contaminado con aflatoxina del maíz no contaminado.
