Abstract
Se describe un cable eléctrico para aplicaciones de alto voltaje que comprende un núcleo rodeado por una capa eléctricamente aislante hecha de una composición a base de un material polimérico termoplástico cargado con polvo de nitruro de boro en una cantidad de hasta el 20% en peso con respecto al peso de la composición aislante, donde el polvo de nitruro de boro tiene una distribución de tamaño de partícula D₅₀ de hasta 15 mm. Dicho cable tiene propiedades de conductividad térmica mejoradas, así como una buena resistencia dieléctrica y procesabilidad en particular a través de procesos de extrusión.
