Abstract
Proceso para obtener n + a productos de oxidación y reducción a partir de una mezcla de n azucares seleccionados del grupo que consiste en azucares C₅ y C₆, en donde n es al menos 2 y a es al menos 1, en donde al menos dos de los azúcares en la mezcla están presentes en una relación no equimolar entre sí, en donde, en una primera etapa, al menos uno de los azúcares que están presentes en una relación no equimolar entre sí se oxida enzimáticamente y, al mismo tiempo, al menos uno de los otros azúcares presentes en una relación no equimolar entre sí se reduce enzimáticamente, y en donde, en la primera etapa, una porción de al menos uno de los azúcares presentes en una relación no equimolar entre sí no se convierte, y que se caracteriza porque, en al menos una segunda etapa, al menos una porción del azúcar no convertido en la primera etapa se oxida enzimáticamente por la mitad y, respectivamente, se reduce enzimáticamente por la mitad restante.
