Abstract

Se describe sistemas y métodos para simular numéricamente la propagación de la onda sísmica en medios isotrópicos inclinados transversalmente (TTI), usando una malla escalonada de Lebedev adaptativa. En varias formas de realización, la malla adaptativa incluye múltiples zonas horizontales que tienen diferentes espaciados de malla asociados, que se pueden determinar sobre la base de un modelo de velocidad de onda vertical. La simulación numérica puede involucrar resolver en forma iterativa un conjunto de ecuaciones de diferencias finitas que incluyen coeficientes de diferencias finitas que varían espacialmente de acuerdo con el espaciado de la malla.
