Abstract
Un método, aparato y producto de programa de computación para generar mallado computacional híbrido alrededor de fracturas complejas y discretas a los efectos de la simulación del yacimiento. Por ejemplo, una forma de realización divulgada es un método implementado por computadora para modelar fracturas geológicas tridimensionales (3D). El método incluye recibir un conjunto de superficies de fractura 3D con geometría que se ha discretizado en un conducto bidimensional (2D) mediante una colección de polígonos. El método define una familia de superficies cortadas en placas 2D no entrecruzadas que atraviesan el conjunto de superficies de fractura 3D. El método después utiliza la intersección de la superficie cortada en placa 2D con los conductos 2D que definen las superficies de fractura con el objeto de crear un conjunto de fracturas 2D en cada superficie cortada en placa.
